Fly away, fugu fish!

Hope you weren’t holding out any great hope for Icarus Mobile, the portable spin-off of Nexon’s Riders of Icarus. MMO Culture is reporting that the contract for the upcoming mobile title looks like it will be canceled very soon, leaving the title’s continued existence in doubt.

However, take solace in the fact that the main MMO endures. In fact, the dev team just started talking about the future of the title after nearly a year of stalled development. Plans for 2018 include special MacBain merchants, improvements to the Tempering System, a world cup event, a party mode for Ellora’s spire, and the opening of the region of Turimnan sometime around August.

“The development has halted for Icarus for almost a year, as many of you have noticed, due to unforeseen circumstances, but rest assured that starting from now, the direction of the development for the game will improve gradually in the coming months so as to not disappoint everyone that has continued to wait and support us,” the team posted.
