After eight years of being confined to a single zone, Lord of the Rings Online’s PvP population will soon get a new map upon which to fight.
The Battle of Osgiliath is coming with this summer’s update, pitting the Freeps (Free Peoples of Middle-earth) against the Creeps (monster play characters) against the backdrop of the iconic war-torn city. The patch will also contain quality-of-life improvements for PvP, including Creep mail and the ability to retrait anywhere in the world.
The map is currently on the test server, and LOTRO Players took advantage of this to create a lengthy video tour of the city and its objectives. Check out Osgiliath in action after the jump!
Could this be the first glimpse of Global Agenda 2
During a recent charity livestream, Hi-Rez Studios dropped a minute-long teaser of its team playing an unannounced title. Brief glimpses of the game were shown, which looks to be a multiplayer first-person shooter with high-tech guns and bows.
The team concluded the teaser by saying that a separate group has been working on this game for a year now and that it won’t impact SMITE’s development or promotion.
“SMITE is still growing very fast,” said Hi-Rez.
You can watch the teaser after the break — let us know what you think it is!
Things have definitely been running more smoothly for MassivelyOP’s MJ in Skyforge‘s latest closed beta test. Sure, she had to start over, but the experience has been better all around, and the new class is pretty fun to watch in action. Too bad CBT4 is open for only one week! To experience as much as she can before it all goes away again, MJ is diving back into this sci-fi world. Tune in live at 9:00 p.m. to see just how far into the story can she get this time around.

There’s something quite addicting about ARK: Survival Evolved. MassivelyOP’s MJ can’t quite decide whether it’s the craving to explore more of the island, the need to tame all the dinosaurs, or the burning desire to exact revenge on whatever just killed her. Most likely it’s a combination of all that and more! In the end it doesn’t matter: She just can’t get enough, so she’s back on MassivelyOP’s official island ready for anything. Join us live at 10:00 a.m. to find out which dangers are most pressing today: finding something to eat or getting eaten.

The exploration-centric Wander is not all about meandering through the trees (as a tree, no less) on the ground; it’s also about soaring through the skies. And boy, does MassivelyOP’s MJ love to fly! The twist here is that can be done either on a griffon or as a griffon, and she’s going to show off both! Tune in live at 8:00 p.m. as she takes flight and practices her skydiving skills.

After that really fun Battle of the Bands dungeon
, MassivelyOP’s MJ knew she had to return to fight those musical miscreants again. However, she needs to level up before diving back in so she has more spells at her disposal. Tune in live at 2: 00 p.m. EDT as MJ completes as many quests as she can in her drive to become a more powerful wizard.

The early Overwatch gameplay videos continue moving through the cast with a robot that has the heart of a human and a woman with the heart of… well, still a human. But a very athletic human. It’s Bastion and Zarya’s turns in the hot seat, which should satisfy fans of heavy gravitational artillery and transforming robots alike.
Bastion shows off his ability to swap between modes to provide stationary defense or mobile harassment, while Zarya shows off her explosive shells and her party support. Check out both videos just below, and see whether either of these warriors looks like the sort of character you’d like to bring marching into combat.
As WildStar is preparing to make the grand transition to free-to-play in the west this summer, it’s simultaneously making in-roads into Asia with an upcoming Chinese launch.
The duties of handling WildStar’s China operations will go to Giant Interactive, which has previously handled titles such as Allods Online. Giant will oversee the closed beta test, with plans to begin in August. No date for a launch has been announced.
WildStar’s Chinese version will feature not only the new free-to-play business model but new facial options, panda accessories, and 22 additional pets. All of these are aimed specifically at the region’s demographics.
There are more dangers in The Secret World‘s Orochi Tower than MassivelyOP’s Justin and MJ faced during their last trip inside — more than just experiments gone awry, bunny assassins, and immortal demons. There’s the tower itself! Or more precisely, there’s the computer that runs the tower: Aimee. And she’s a handful to deal with. Tune in live at 9:00 p.m. as MJ and Justin join the classic struggle of man vs. machine as they face off against the faceless.

Crowfall has published another installment of its combat chat video dev blog. Featured are designers Thomas Blair and Tully Ackland, who spend nearly six minutes answering combat-related questions from the crowdfunded title’s community. Most of the discussion centers on DoT effects, projectiles, and the stamina system.
Today’s vid is part one of two, with the second part scheduled for next week. There’s also a previous episode in the series, which we’ve embedded after the cut following today’s episode.
Did you get enough SWTOR
news this week? Either way, why not join Massively OP’s Larry and MJ to talk about it all as they continue to try and cram in as much story XP as possible? You might also see more evil flow: Larry’s convinced he can get MJ to fall deeper into the clutches of the dark side. Kick back and join the duo live at 3:00 p.m. to see how successful he is. There might also be more giveaways!

Even as Skyforge winds down its final closed beta test, Allods Team still has more of the game to show off to fans.
Today’s dev blog concerns the Eskenian Peninsula, a tropical tourist trap that’s quite easy on the eyes. It’s a darn tootin’ shame, then, that the inhabitants’ lackadasial nature has allowed demons to break the seals of nearby temples and begin overrunning the entire zone. So as the civilians evacuate, player forces move in to push the bad guys back and reclaim the peninsula once more.
You can get a video overview of the new zone after the break!
Facing off against final boss in World of Warcraft’s new Hellfire Citadel raid might have some players quaking in their steel codpieces, but we all know how it’s going to end for him. Sure enough, Blizzard has forseen Archimonde’s defeat and has created a death cinematic for him that you can see right now — if you’re willing to encounter spoilers.
MMO-Champion leaked the cinematic, which includes both Archimonde’s introduction and fall. You can check it out after the break to enjoy the story fruits of the raid without any of the work involved!
