Cabal 2 calls it quits in the west

If you have any pressing business left in Cabal 2, don’t put it off for too long. ESTsoft announced last week that it will be sunsetting the fantasy MMO sometime in the coming months.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Cabal 2 will be closing its doors in the months ahead,” the studio said. “Unfortunately, Cabal 2 didn’t resonate with as many players as we had hoped, and its continued operation is no longer sustainable. We recognize that many of you will be disappointed by this news, and rightly so.”

ESTsoft said that it is working on further posts with more details of how the shutdown of the game in the west will unfold. As for right now, players can no longer refill eCoins and purchase duration-based items.

Cabal Online releases a new battle arena, ushers in Caballoween

Need something to do in Cabal Online? No worries: The older MMO is backing up to your house and unloading a dump truck’s worth of content to fill your month.

First up is its Legends Unleased update, which went live today. The content patch includes a new battle arena, a fight with the Death Knight Baldus, a trio of additional accessories, and “powerful class-specific abilities” to aid with their battles.

If that’s not enough, the game also kicked off Caballoween, which will run through November 7th. During the event, players will collect and assemble the scattered pieces of a spirit’s body, hunt for Jack O’Lanterns, and whip up some new potions and brews.

Giveaway: Grab a Cabal Online booster key in honor of its Steam launch

Classic Cabal Online launched on Steam this past week, reintroducing gamers to the 2005 title.

Nearly a thousand years after its devastation, the CABAL leader Faust prophesized the rise of an evil force that would, once again, ruin the land of Nevareth.

That evil has finally come. With only eight surviving members of the CABAL, it is now up to the champions of Nevarath to face the waves of minions that have invaded the world and uncover the truth behind them. Players will join millions in the battle over the sprawling and diverse lands of Nevareth, a stunning world that blurs the line between fantasy and science fiction. Featuring time-limited dungeons, blazing and fluid combat, challenging puzzles, an enthralling story, and a constant stream of new game content, CABAL Online invites MMO players to go forth and become a champion of Nevareth.

ESTsoft has granted Massively OP 500 keys for blessing beads, a premium seven-day item that gives the user access to premium channels, GPS teleportation for fast travel, 25% bonus boosts to EXP, skill EXP, drop rate, WEXP, pet EXP, and AXP, and a 200% boost to currency gains. The beads also cause T-Points to accumulate over time and unlock three additional craft request slots. It’s gonna be a good seven days is what we’re saying. And now we’re handing those keys out to you!

Cabal 2’s huge Calamity of War update hit by tiny delay

“Go big or go home, kid.”

Cabal 2 must have heard these words as an impressionable youth and taken them to heart, culminating in this week’s release of the Calamity of War update. Or at least it would be out already except that server gremlins (“technical difficulties”) forced the team to temporarily delay the patch. At least players are getting some compensation in exchange for their patience.

Calamity of War is the second major content update for the fantasy MMO and patches in many important features. These include a new zone featuring the Great Wall, the debut of open-world PvP between nations, and a level cap bump to 50 (which also factors in additional class skills).

You can check out the update’s trailer after the jump!

Cabal 2 goes on a reindeer rampage and adds new raid

Hullo folks! Ms. Horsehead here, encouraging one and all to head over to Cabal 2 to check out a couple of interesting events taking place!

There’s war a-brewin’ in the gods’ last bastion, the Gray Canyon, and we need strong and brave adventurers like yourself to step up and give a good neigh about it! This new raid requires 24 players to defend the canyon from 12 waves of monsters, each one tougher and scarier than the last. You’ll need to arrange your day around it, however, as the raid takes place at three set times every 24 hours.

Then there’s a wacky reindeer rampage making a mess all over the world. They’re not as prim and proper as us horses, not in the slightest. Kick those reindeer haunches for me, will ya? And if they happen to drop anything, it’s all yours.
