Trion posted a preview of Defiance’s new Alcatraz update this week. Expeditions, which are “evolving co-op matches that pit players against increasingly tough enemies for ever-increasing rewards,” will debut with the patch.
Expeditions are tiered so as to provide optimal challenge for Ark Hunters based on their EGO ratings. While high-powered players will be “scaled down” upon entering lower tier expeditions, there is no boost for low-level players entering higher tiers.
Joining an expedition will cost you a hunter requisition, which you’ll need to either buy through Trion’s cash shop or receive as a login reward.
