PAX East 2015: Trion Worlds is throwing a party

60

It’s been four years since RIFT came out and the Trion Worlds team hosted a party in Boston to celebrate the game, so it’s high time for another fan gathering. That’s the logic behind Trion’s upcoming PAX East party in Boston, which celebrates the game’s anniversary and the first day of the convention with a fan gathering, complete with a free Arclight Rider and some real-world loot while supplies last.

RIFT fans with no need for the various bits of swag might still want to attend, as the party will include face time with the developers and some announcements about the future. The party is a bit offsite, and space is limited, so head over promptly at 6 p.m. EST on Friday if you want to get in. There’s even a trailer for the party just past the break, for those who need a little more urging.

Golden_Girl Saerain ihatevnecks Spacejesus3k Cujo H Oh, I’m very sympathetic to the realities of game development. Yet correct me if I’m wrong, it seems like you would 100% be decrying H&V as vaporware or otherwise doomed to “fail” if you weren’t working on it. I’m rooting for your team like any other, but your attitude toward others seems monumentally hypocritical in your position. You’re having to defend your project from the same kind of ignorance that you, at the very least, costume yourself with.
But you must have heard this dozens of times by now, so who knows what good I think I’ll do.

Golden_Girl ihatevnecks Spacejesus3k Cujo H The irony of you talking about the incompetence of companies that actually accomplish things  is always rich. :-) Ever since you helped the CoH community eat itself alive. ;-) The positive emoticon troll never changes. :-p Can’t wait to play Heroes and Villains! :-D

This conversation is reminding me of the tap dancing scene from Chicago.

Wow only four years?
It feels like a lot longer. I recall begin excited when it first came out and getting right into it, until I hit level cap and found nothing to do. I’m sure it’s changed since, but I don’t know if I can be bothered to go back. There’s so many other things out there now to grab my attention.
Still, I have a fondness of the memory of exploring this world when it was new.

dirtyklingon ihatevnecks Greaterdivinity Throwing parties where fans and developers can meet and mingle is callous hubris?
Sorry, but no, I really don’t think that’s the case. It’s a celebration of interests, of work, and of each other. Nothing callous about it. Again, maybe try going to some of these instead of making these silly, baseless “omg they’re all arrogant and drunk” assumptions.
And where did I ever claim to be at a party? You made that claim of me, I never said anything of the sort.
