Betawatch: March 13, 2015

Albion Online posted an infographic celebrating its winter alpha and dished on its upcoming summer alpha, which will include a major revision of the economy. What else is new in the land of MMO testing?

Our complete list of MMOs in testing is below.

As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed.

Skyforge is… not for me. Very pretty though.

Tierless Same here. I spent more time gathering and crafting on my tablet than I did PVPing on my desktop. Can’t wait until the next alpha.

Albion Online just has that “something” intangible that keeps me interested beyond the fact that I love PVP MMOs. I assume it’s nostalgia. I love their look.

No chance to try Otherland. Got a beta key the other day but the patcher runs FOREVER. This is by far the worst install-/patch-routine I have ever seen.

racccoon Square is keeping it a secret :)  At the time of writing there are still give away keys to be had (search for triad wars giveaway). The game is still rather buggy though as one would expect at this point of development.
