DCUO’s Andersen, Scott demo new munitions power

Want a 60-second preview of DC Universe Online’s latest power set? Daybreak has it in the form of a new teaser video. Munitions feature a mobile run-and-gun playstyle featuring explosions and conventional weapons, according to the DCUO wiki.

Especially now that you have to play certain content to get the right symbols. I love grinding the same missions 10,000 times to get enough symbols to buy gear I only need for the feat…

Maybe then we can have powersets that don’t suck…which is the case in DCUO right now, other than the Light powerset.

Midgetsnowman Neo_Wolf How are yous tuck with it?  if you want to play a hero with no powr then do not use your power.  It is TOTALLY feasible in DCUO to level to cap using nothing but weapon skills in fact powers are largely incidental in that game compared to weapon skills for the most part anyhow.

But to answer the question “howso”.. because the game has POWERS and it has WEAPON SKILLS.. 
to make munitions a POWER ignores the fact it is in fact a WEAPON SKILL.  Hence why I said it was a contradiction.
The power isn’t manifesting weapons out of thin a air or forming limbs into guns, or transforming nearby cars into a hail of bullets etc.. its simply using guns, which TWO of the existing weapon skills already do..because that is what the WEAPON SKILLS are about lol.  
Powers and Weapon Skills being totally different things, two different concepts. e.g  Quantum blast.. POWER… Machine gun..WEAPON SKILL.

With this power set they have removed the line that differentiates the two and effectively said what the heck..  makes no sense with the format they had.  Its as I said a contradiction.

I mean, what if I want to play a superhero/villain with NO powers? atm I’m stuck with nothing but Gadgets. That doesnt cover people like Deathstroke or Punisher at all.

Munitions as a power set and not a weapon skill makes ZERO sense with DCUO to me im afraid its a total contradiction.

DCUO is solid. I can’t imagine it being a main MMO that just sucks you in for days, but its alot of fun in spurts.
