Trove adding fishing, ships, and pirates

Trove players are being called to don their galoshes and pack up their tackle box, as the game is preparing to unload a new water-themed update called Fish ‘n’ Ships next week.

The update will release on March 31st and will include craftable ships to use to sail the seven seas in search of treasure and naval combat. For the more peaceful set, there’s also the option to engage in some relaxing fishing off the shores. This being Trove, you can fish not only in water but in any liquid — including molten chocolate.

Fish ‘n’ ships will also add a new biome and a new class, the latter of which, Trion hints, might be a pirate. The team is hosting a crafting livestream tomorrow to collaborate with the community on sea-themed creations.

I super hope we get to build on our own ships and it’s not just buy a pre-made one.

Zennie  If you need explanations about Trion’s lies and tricks in taking your money, then you’ve been living under rock. I vote with my wallet.

Rhime Rift is still one of the best themepark games, and Trove is cute and adorable. Why so serious? :)

jgauthier45  Oh yes I bloody well can judge those clowns who ruined ArchAge. It’s interesting that you say they had little control when everything THEY did made the game shitty. The game itself was awesome. You can’t convince me that anything they do is done with “love or work” lol. They are a greedy game company on the same level as EA…

In a recent stream, they also promised us a new class: the Pirate Captain, with single pistol.

If this doesn’t get me to try this game out, nothing will.

jgauthier45 Rhime How about Defiance?   How many of their games must alienate their players with aggressively anti consumer tactics before we are able to pass judgement?
The argument that Trion is not responsible for XLs faults is false.  Had they done their due diligence they would either foreseen these issues and passed, or had a plan in place to address them.  Ultimately Trion is responsible to its customers in the same way that a store is responsible for the merchandise they sell.  Quality stores don’t put crap on the shelf.
So far Trion has only 1 released game that wasn’t a bomb.  Rift.
I am not anti-Trion, but I can appreciate peoples disdain for the company.
