The Daily Grind: Have you tried Infinite Crisis?

Infinite Crisis

Infinite Crisis came out on Steam last week, which was bad timing for me. I left town for the weekend and I didn’t get to do any gaming, so I’m just now getting around to patching up Turbine’s DC multiverse MOBA and picking up where I left off in the beta last December.

What about you, MassivelyOP MOBA fans? Have you tried Infinite Crisis? If so, what did you think? If not, do you plan try it?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!

Negative. Not a MOBA guy.

Nope. Probably never will. I think most of the MOBA trend will pass over me.

I have not played Infinite Crisis.  Though I love playing MOBAs, especially Smite, I hate playing with quite a few of the “Leet” players in MOBAs.  And since I am not a very good MOBA player, I am usually the player they are cursing at for bringing down their team.

skaz123 I’m with you. the item stuff is just added complication i don’t need HotS also mixes up the fomula a bit mor that IC, which looks like it wanted to copy LoL but paint it DC.

I played it when it came out in closed beta. Only tried it out because it was a DC brand game. I even got a founders pack, but was disappointed with the game play. It just felt like a very bland game compared to other moba games out there.

quark1020 Was there something in my tone that gave such a snarky answer or hostility to what would be discussion? Defending honor and intelligence? That may be the most off-base responses I’ve ever gotten on Massively…

My point is to go with the whole answering with thoughts and opinions… that’s the purpose of having an open-ended question instead of a closed-ended one. When it’s a yes/no question, there’s no invite to share anything other than a yes or no. The purpose of the daily grind is to open up those discussions and bring in as many people to that talk as possible, and questions like this aren’t doing that.

dwhisper Perhaps, but then again, its more like setting up a commenter’s playground. I mean, isn’t the point of these to “answer” the topic’s question with your own thoughts then defend your honor and intelligence from the fools who DARE disagree with you?
