Eff a robot.

So what awaits you at the end of the road in Skyforge? Sure, you become a deity, but what are you actually going to do once you get there, sit around and occasionally appear in mustard jars for the faithful? A new development blog makes it clear that you’ll have far more active things to do, including taking part in pantheon wars, distortions, and anomalies. Distortions are singular fights against difficult opponents, anomalies are competitive group-based fights against enemies, and pantheon wars are all-encompassing PvP and PvE fights to be the dominant metaphysical power.

Of course, all of that’s in the future. During the game’s beta testing, there’s a drive for you to test a far more direct form of competition with the game’s Fury of the Immortals PvP event. It’s a fairly simple event, with players competing in PvP matches during a few windows of time; the top 50 players will be rewarded with the title of “Champion of the Immortals.” If that sounds fun, or if you just needed an excuse to go test the game’s PvP systems, take a gander and jump into battle when indicated.
