Elite: Dangerous is now available on Steam

I'm in deep space, can't see my face, I've been a minor for a heart of space.

Have you yearned to play Elite: Dangerous but could not due to arcane rituals preventing you from playing any game that is not readily available on Steam? Or do you just like playing all of your games through Steam? Either way, the game is now on Steam, so members of both groups can now jump in and play it!

There are probably more members of the latter group than the former.

The game is retailing for its full price of $59.99 with its Steam launch, so any hopes for instant sales are off the table for the moment. Still, it’s another platform and another way to take off into the deep dark stretches of space and see what’s out there.

What if you already own the game? “As for providing steam keys for people who already own the game,” Executive Producer Michael Brookes told forumgoers, “we’ll look into it and go from there,” though the official Elite Twitter account told another player that Frontier “won’t be providing current players with a Steam Key” and will “be assessing player feedback.”
