This is what it looks like.

Nexon announced today that it is acquiring all outstanding shares of mobile maker Boolean Games. MMO Culture reports that “terms and details of the transaction were not disclosed.”

South Korea-based Boolean Games is notable for its Dark Avenger series which has topped 30 million worldwide downloads. The latest sequel, Darkness Reborn, has been downloaded more than 10 million times since its November 2014 launch.

Nah, they moved to Japan and mobile is king in Japan.

If you don’t make mobile games in Japan, you go out of business.

No More Tears  Nexon giving things away for free?  Nah.  They’d charge a service fee for it.

Yay, now we’re going to get a bunch of mobile games that could’ve been good but Nexon diminished their potential by throwing monetization methods up the wazoo.

So is this latest act a way to shore themselves up for their impending takeover of NCSoft (especially as NCSoft just did a $635 million stock exchange with Netmarble to block Nexon) or does this have no relation to anything else whatsoever?
