It’s no secret that today’s MMOs focus almost exclusively on combat. Oh sure, some of them have rudimentary crafting, trading, and housing minigames, but very few of them feature non-combat gameplay options deep enough to replace killing and looting as an alternate playstyle.
What about you, MassivelyOP readers? What’s the last non-combat activity you did in an MMO? Tell us after the break!

FeveredDreamer JakeDunnegan Oh, I’m with ya there. Last game I raided heavily in was SWTOR, I believe, and Rift before that. Raiding just doesn’t do anything for me anymore, and whatever thrills I did get from that are pretty well satisifed by well made dungeons, which most games, even Tera (!!!) have.Â
Oh, and HIYAS! To a fellow Washingtonian, though, technically, I just south of it, in Virginia. ;)
I’ve spent the last couple days in EQ2 leveling in Adorning. First I spent about a day getting my Transmuting ability up to 500 so I can turn loot into adornment ingredients, then I started adorning. The high level adornments from the latest expansion are (1) awesome; and (2) really expensive, so I’d rather make them myself. I’m at 280/500 Adorning skill, so I’ve got a way to go, but the end is in sight.

O snap!
Crafting dailies in Rift of course.
Dilithium mining in STO. Â Â 6_6
In XIV I spent most of yesterday mining Grade 3 Thanalan soil for the Free Company’s garden. Played some Triple Triad at the Golden Saucer, and trained my trusty chocobo.
I cruised around Rohan taking screenshots. Had to test out that new video card!
Pretty much my main activities in ESO involve gathering lore books, crafting mats, and skyshards. I do this more than I actually fight things.
I respected my Templer in ESO yesterday to healing and crafted a Seducer set and 2 Pce Magnus set for the bonuses to Magicka.
That’s non combat right there.
I’ve gathered some Orchids in Therian Saga.
