Star Citizen’s latest monthly report was published this weekend. It covers most of the progress made in March, 2015, which was substantial according to the preamble. In between convention appearances, Cloud Imperium released version 1.1 to backers, it “made significant updates to the server side of Star Citizen thanks to thousands of new players joining us,” and it “made amazing progress on the FPS module, Squadron 42, the persistent universe, and more.”

As usual, the report features a whole lot of textual updates from CIG studios around the world, as well as a few relevant video embeds.

No moving stick eh?
Then its not for me, I prefer the moving stick.
I feel I have more control over what I’m doing that way.

I haven’t actually used the X65 yet, since I’m waiting for user mappings in SC, so it remains to be seen how it works. But I like the concept that the joystick doesn’t move, just senses the pressure you put on it. I bought it before they made the X55 available.

If you look at the image, lover right corner, you will see the text there looks like it says X52 Pro, if not for that I would not have known actually

How is the X65?
I seen it has the front panel on the throttle with buttons instead of having them on the base, not sure I like that though.
I kinda liked the look of the X55, but it sounds like its too fragile to that I want to buy one.

I’m not sure what it is but I think it’s some kind of plastic gasket ring that gets worn out when overheating because of hard/frequent usage.

From what I can see there that’s the X52 Pro.
I got the regular X52, and it has a different base than that.

Regardless of that I have a little difficulty seeing what it is that s sticking out at the bottom.
Looks to me like some kind of covering plastic that just was not removed when it was not unpacked, but I assume its something else.

The X52 has its problems too, as ED user OnePercent experienced after taking home the triple Elite trophy:comment image

Darkwalker75 Sounds like that might be a good plan.

Been snooping around a little about the stick, reading some reviews.
Seems there are quite a few issues with the stick, among them the stiffness you mention here.

Another thing I saw mentioned is that it has springs you can swap out that offers varying degrees of stiffness for the stick, however the springs are apparently a little too short leaving a deadzone of about 1cm at the top of the stick.

One guy on Amazon says it feels very toy like, especially the buttons which feel like they would break if they saw medium to heavy use.

Sounds like they rushed the stick out on the market, kinda like most games, with little QA on it before release.
I wanted to buy it, but I think I’ll stick to my X52 for now and wait to see if they improve this one in the future.

Darkwalker75  According to my friend, even with the adjustable setting for the stiffness, it is noticably stiffer to use than the X52.  Maybe that is something specific to that particular Rhino he got?  I don’t know.

You say the throttle in the X55 can be stiff to use.
What do you mean by that?
Since the friction is adjustable I cant see how that’s the problem.
