World of Warcraft throws a 10-day sale that includes Warlords of Draenor

Good Blizzard sales don’t come around too often, so if you’ve been holding off on buying World of Warcraft or its most recent expansion, then now’s the time to snap it up.

The main bundle (which includes the core game and all expansions through Mists of Pandaria) is 50% off at $9.99. Warlords of Draenor is also on sale at 25% off, bringing the price down to $37.49.

The clock is ticking down on this 10-day sale, as it will end on April 13th.

SwobyJ Then you’re going to be waiting for a while, It’s their game and if they don’t want to do that, then it’s their choice.

I would rather buy another Asheron’s Call account for 10 bucks than try and get back into WoW.

Baemir rlloyd3 goettel The excuse they’d use is that they provided a free lvl90 boost with it which cost more than the expansion.

Damonvile SallyBowls1 Baemir Right, with business it’s not “pursue goal, obtain goal, make money and then rest on your laurels”, it’s all about bringing in *more* money, enough is never enough, you need more, more for expansion, R&D, continuous improvement and lining the pockets of executives and investors at an appreciating rate.
So, as you pointed out, breaking even doesn’t cut it.

Baemir the price might just be adjustment for inflation, but I can’t be sure. It could conceivably go on as long as Blizzard wants it to though, it’s a business, it makes money, so if WoW is still making Blizzard money 75 years from now, Blizzard might still be selling WoW and even charging for a subscription. Their audience is, after 10 years, multi-generational by now. Kids, parents and grandkids are playing that game, sometimes with eachother.
WoW seems to have confirmed itself as a pretty solid franchise.

Rohirrim SallyBowls1 If I could suggest, 4) The devs themselves, trying to artificially stir up trash talk and x-factional hatred. Like bringing in class-acts like Corpsegrinder in as spokespeople at a game convention.

SallyBowls1 JohnT_NC Spacejesus3k I’m not going back until at least Lv 1-60 is F2P, maybe Lv 1-80 (I’ve subbed for a while off and on and bought up to Pandaria).
