Star Wars: The Old Republic hosting double XP for Star Wars Celebration

I want MORE ROCK.
So let’s assume for the purposes of this discussion that you’re a really big fan of Star Wars, but you can’t quite make it out to Anaheim for the Star Wars Celebration convention. Lucky you, there’s a way to celebrate at home: Star Wars: The Old Republic is hosting a double XP even for the duration of the convention, from April 16th until April 19th. It’s not quite the same thing, but you can still be up to your eyeballs in Star Wars while it’s going.

That double XP can be stretched even further with boosts and the like, for the record. A post on Reddit outlines exactly how much experience you can be getting if you make your boosts work together via multiplication, topping out at a 429% bonus. Save up some boosters over the next couple of days if you haven’t already, and get ready for leveling over the weekend.

12x xp is perfect for players with at least a cybertech alt to make mods as they level. For a new player, they can quickly outlevel gear doing just the class quests.

If you’re going to repeat the same old complaints, please do so in complete sentences at least.

Needmoreloot The first few months, there were some spots on the starter planets, particularly before you got your companion, where it was hard to advance if you were on level.  Particularly some of the bosses they tossed into the class quests.  At this point it has pretty much evened out.  If you stay out of the heroics and and flashpoints, you can do the story content with very few deaths.

If you’re not content with your current MMO, give it a try again.  SWTOR isn’t perfect, but how the cutscenes play and how the companions work is unique in the space.

kalex716  XP boosts DO stack with rest XP/double XP.  However, rest XP does NOT stack with double XP.

BriarGrey If it rains we’ll both be playing this weekend so prepare to play your main! Otherwise you are still a motorcycle widow if the weather is nice and you’ll be playing the alt! heh.

the boosts you buy don’t stack with rest xp. I have a bunch but i rarely am playing enough to where i burn through all the rest and i even want to pop a store bought xp boost.

Looking forward to this since I still need to level my army of alts through the latest expansion. Doing the same content on all of the classes gets stale pretty quick so at least the xp boost can help get it done quicker. I have to admit, other than raids I haven’t been spending much time in game and this will certainly help to pull me back in.

One of these days I really need to get in on an xp boost (even though I missed the huge one) because I would actually like to finish the class story at some point. I just dislike all that MMO stuff – levels, quests, dungeons – in between my story missions. My cat-hair operative needs to have some closure.
