RIFT’s 3.2 Echoes of Madness patch is now available

Trion wants you to know that RIFT’s 3.2 patch is officially live. Echoes of Madness adds a 20-player Hammerknell raid and improvements to instant adventures including “better scaling and pacing,” fewer event distractions, featured queues, and more.

Echoes of Madness also boasts a “massive upgrade” to RIFT’s wardrobe system that allows players to save the appearance of any acquired item for use “whenever you like.” Trion says that it plans to add things like previewing, linking, favorites, and sets in a future update. Finally, the patch adds new tier six Nightmare Rifts, which you can read about via the announcement post.

The water zones are killing me. They feel far too slow for my liking.

I love all the features Rift has and I want to play it as my #1 MMO sooo bad….but I can’t because the engine is just so bad :(

Maybe I’m being elitist or something but I just can’t super love a game that doesn’t run well even on a high end PC. When RIft updates its engine to run anywhere nearly as smooth as Wow, FFXIV, or even GW2, I’ll be subbed and playing every day!

I like that the pieces of all characters get unlocked on skins. Definitely liking the plate look on my cleric.
I’m *think* this allows you to get rid of old stuff as the visual is collected.

I feel new weekly defend coral thing kinda stuck. I had to go to another instance of the shard to join raid and start my quest… o.o

-Still sad about Classic Hammerknell and its achievements. Still bummed. Not interested in a T2 NT raid version. If it was at least a ‘Return to’ one I’d care.
-Still annoyed about IA Achievements but not as bothered as with HK.
-Love Wardrobe. There is a weapon transmog issue but I hope they get it fixed within a week.
-Haven’t been doing Nightmare Rifts so whatever.

Again, love Wardrobe. Yay :)

In the past 6 month, ive revisited several older mmos.

Swotor, Rift, Tera, GW2 and TSW (for like the 5th time).

Out of those, the only one that i really had any fun in was Rift. This update is actually something I can look forward to.

Only managed to get in to unlock all my wardrobe gear today and I like the new system so far. Will spend a lot of time tonight playing around with outfits, because yay dressup!

I actually came back to Rift a few weeks ago. Last time I played was a few months from launch in 2011. I got burned out and got bored. Then life events and other things happened and It sort of slipped off of my radar.
