MMO loading screen text varies widely from game to game. Some titles choose to put snippets of lore on their loading screens, while others reveal portions of the game mechanics. Still others go with filler text that seems like it was written by an intern with a fleeting grasp of English, the game in question, and the sorts of things that players need to know.
What do you think, MOP readers? Which MMO has the most helpful loading screen text?

Estranged Cyroselle Wow!!! That’s a seriously long shift! I hope someone can step in and give you a little break at some point! 0.o`
Estranged Cyroselle There will be plenty more opportunities. :) Been a really weird week for me, so all kinds of jokes must be flying over my head.
I would say most helpful loading screens come from Age of Conan. Â Funcom load times are legendary and while TSW just slowly fills the B&W panorama with color while paint dries, AoC features snippets from Conan stories themselves from author Robert E Howard. Â They might not be helpful tooltips but honestly I refuse to believe MMO gamers really need these. Â What I think we all need more of is lore and immersive text, and that’s why the AoC screens are the best around, they really put you in the mood of the game’s setting.
Esoteric Coyote bossrprouse spacetail Thanks. If that is where it’s from, it must of been around for a long time because I haven’t played WoW in years.
I prefer no loading screens.
How about a Chrysler advertisement?
You know it’s coming.
bossrprouse spacetail I think WoW had a version of that, which made me laugh because of the Dungeon Finder and such.
ManastuUtakata Pandalulz No take personal, it just what Chua do.  Look, I pink, have ponytail, fuzzy ears.  I cute like you. Â
I know, it’s just not the same as yelling “For the Horde!” at you. Â Leave me alone. Â :P
Xephyr Here we go. :)
spacetail That looks familiar. Which MMO had that one?
