Age of Conan developers working on panoramas and achievements

What is best in life? Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Stop mid-crush and realize that you’re in a really pretty area. Enjoy the new panorama feature that will be coming to Age of Conan. Consider making a friend out of the enemies you were crushing. That sort of thing.

The development team has been working on more than just landscape flyovers, of course, with another refinement of the achievement system that ties into both the panoramas and the various hidden treasures hidden across Hyboria. On top of that, the final implementation of the Arena is on its way and the team is working to refine the game’s alternate advancement mechanics. Read the latest dispatch from the development team for all the details.

Koshelkin LordOfBread Higher resolutions in MMOs rarely = More Detail.   They just give you a wider field of view.

This is the game I really wanted to play but my game buddies wouldn’t follow me there.   *kicks pebble with shoe and stares down*

cald Koshelkin LordOfBread You probably should put on some glasses because most MMO’s which were recently released have a higher visual fidelty than AoC.

BryanCole On Crom there’s plenty of Purist runs adverrtised in global, so you can enjoy the dungeons on lvl. :)

Age of Conan is my most favourite MMO. The atmosphere in it is unforgettable. But padding it with useless stuff will not make me return to it.

I would love to see new zones added to the game. It really needs it. It’s still a great game

I remember this game with love, really. Played on launch day, was really fun even if my PC wasn’t enough to ride this game barely on medium settings! But it was really fun. I have good memories about the first 20 levels on the island, it was a shock that the rest of the game were not equal… But I love it every moment.

PVP was super fun, PVE cool but not so well. Game itself had many bugs and too much problems, but I completed a raid with my guild, do it some fun PVP and openworld PVP… yeah, good old times.

I will remember AoC with love, sadly TSW don’t bring me the same feels, but TSW is good enough as I’m a fan of Lovecraft and ragna make a good job here.

long life Funcom, tbh they are not the best of the best, but always have tried and I commend them for it.

Well experimental design is one of Funcom strong points even if it never fully made them the big bucks, i always liked that the company dared to go out in mmo land not make a safe clone by try something else and yes to ambitious is one of their big flaws always trying for more but not having the resources or time to complete the project properly with it.

As i said it was just speculation on why the game didn’t get as much coverage or wasn’t know outside the usual mmo group, but there where plenty of reasons why the game didn’t become a big hitter.

Somewhere i want them to make a financial success just to reinvest more in their other titles, still never got round to why in this baren land of sci-fi mmo’s they never decided to make a sequel to anarchy online.
