Marvel Heroes adds achievements and Vision

Life is moving ever-faster for Marvel Heroes. Not only is the game currently in the grips of the movie tie-in Avengers Assemble event, but now it’s added an achievement system for those who love to chase higher and higher numbers. This new system isn’t pure epeen boosting, as some of the achievements will unlock usable rewards such as titles and pets.

Players have plenty of other content to check out as well. There’s the Ultron challenge for level 60 heroes and the addition of Vision to the roster. Vision is a ranged character with 24 powers spread across three trees: density control, solar power, and android. You can see him (it?) in action after the break!

They also recently had a 50% off sale on heroes and costumes and you got like 15% more G-points with your cash. Daredevil was literally $2, along with some other heroes. The game is worth dropping $5 when they have a sale to buy a couple heroes.

Why don’t these arpg’s add a moba mode for pvp? All the assests are there, I could do it in a weekend in marvels case.

I logged in last night and I was flooded with achievement notifications for at least 12 minutes. Looks like the cheevo hunting will commence this weekend.

JonBuck Oyjord read logging in second time as logging in second day.  Sorry if that was confusing but missed the edit timer to change it doh!

JonBuck Oyjord and you get 400 of them these days as a log in reward just for logging into the game a second time. You can also keep an eye out for free hero codes but it has been a while since I last saw one of those so they may have stopped ?

Oyjord Mechanics are pretty simple: Pay instantly with G (paid for with real cash), or grind ingame currency to buy (Eternity Splinters). Don’t need to earn new heroes instantly, for free.

I just can’t get into it. It feels like a watered down version of Ultimate Alliance, which was already a watered down version of X-Men Legends.

I really can’t recommend this game enough. If you aren’t playing it you really should be.

Much as I like the MCU cross overs, I wouldn’t be opposed to some comics tie ins as well.  Marvel’s Secret Wars event starts next week, which is supposed to result in a consolidation of their various universes in to one.  Seems strange to completely ignore it in game, but I guess Disney sees more synergy with the cinematic product
