World of Tanks and World of Warplanes developer Wargaming is celebrating National Military Appreciation Month by giving a portion of its cash shop proceeds to several veteran organizations. Each week in May, 25 percent of the take from “dedicated in-game currency support packages” will be donated to one of the following organizations: AMVETS, Wounded Warriors Canada, the National Armor and Cavalry Heritage Foundation, and Operation Supply Drop.

You’ll need to purchase a specific bundle if you want to support a specific organization. Wargaming has also posted the dates and times that each bundle will be available.

That’s a cool thing they’re doing. I appreciate that they thought about the veterans, and offered practical support.

heliaxb Wargaming has by far the best UI and tech trees.   WT is a good game in some ways but their UI is horrible.

Loving my Tiger 2… took bloody forever to unlock it then buy it… the Missions are crucial to making good coin in this game.   You get paid to do the things you would be doing anyway, and they pay well.   I really like how Wargaming hands out freebies on holidays, especially the ones with a military theme like Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day, etc.   You get some cool low-tier elite tanks sometimes, things that can’t be bought or unlocked from the tech trees, goofy stuff like the T7 Combat Car, a weird american jeep-tank that had like, 50 calibers on it or something, can’t punch through real armor, but you can really light up a tier 1 or 2 tank with its rapid-fire guns.

Nice.

I came back to the game this weekend, the game is the better is some parts and worst in other parts. I will not put my money on this company while they increase the grind and RNG of the game.

I think this is their 4th year running this event. At least I know they’ve done something every year since WoT launched.

Madda didn’t even know about this month dedicated to the military.
They deserve it in ways Madda can’t even begin to get into.
