Tree of Life is available on Steam

So of course this picture features neither trees nor much life.

If you wake up in the morning and find yourself just unable to get enough early access sandbox titles to whet your appetite, you’ll be happy to know that Tree of Life is coming to Steam as an early access title. What is it? Imagine Wurm Online, only Korean, and you’ll be at least halfway there.

Tree of Life plans to release in full by the end of the year, although early access players will get the game cheaper than post-launch players. In its unfinished state players are already able to roam across the world, build settlements, fight off monster sieges, and work together to build anywhere. Check out the Steam page if it sounds like your cup of tea.

The avatars are kind of off putting. Hope they allow graphic mods.

ntellect Honestly I’d say EVE counts as a FFA PVP MMO, yes you can get Concorded in highsec but outside of docking in a station and never coming out again there’s literally nowhere in the game you can be entirely protected from PVP.

Is there a current successful FFA PVP MMO title today? UO was in the past and the audience has changed since then (for the worse unfortunately).

CazCore Eh, it’s not really full loot that gets to me (as long as gear is reasonably easy to produce, ala Eve) , I don’t even hate open PvP as a concept (I was a big fan of Shadowbane and am looking forward to Crowfall) it’s just I think there’s also room for a fully cooperative sandbox MMO that doesn’t go full Pacifistic Tales in the Desert.

TheGremmel idlepigeon If there smart they wont listen to you guys and make a game the way they intended. Most games get ruined because they listen to people form opinions who havent even tried the game.  UO had free for all pvp when it started and it was great.

From the steam forums:

1. The tower structures attack reds automatically.
2. When a red player dies he drop all his inventory.
On the other hand when a yellow player dies trough a red one, he (yellow) drops just one random item from the inventory.

Must say that this looks very interesting. I’ve been looking for a good sandbox MMO (that’s really sandbox, not the typical sandbox/themepark combo). If not, this will make waiting for Haven&Hearth (2) less painful. Also, I found some good info about it on Steam forums: http://steamcommunity.com/app/361800/discussions/0/620712999966421764/
