EVE Online

If you’ve got an interest in EVE Online’s upcoming changes to nullsec and sovereignty mechanics, and you’ve got a lot of time, you’ll probably want to peruse CCP’s latest dev blog. It’s a lengthy one, and it covers everything from the sov capture system and the Entosis Link mechanic to activity defense multipliers, vulnerability, and time zone mechanics.

CCP also mentions that it has refined the release timeline for all this new stuff, and that it will spread the features across multiple releases between June 2nd (Carnyx) and July 7th (Aegis).

Sythalin This is so horrible…..seriously losing skillpoints ?

Who is going to undock without a 100% victory secured ?

It makes the game 1000 times risk averse then it already is.

Also as a goon we have been in war many times and we have secured victory in all those wars.
There have been entity’s much stronger then ourselves and were beaten.

Did you know how scary it was when HBC was born and if Pandemic Legion would have given green light to start the war against us :) ?

HBC had around 50000 pilots not counting NC. supers and PL supers.
We would have needed everything to battle that and victory would not even be certain against such forces.

This war ended before it even started as PL dint had the stomach for it for wathever reasons.

N3 wich were beaten in the last war tried many half assed attempts but never had the backing of the rest of Eve as their leader screwed up so many times breaking his word that none was believing him or wanted to deal with him anymore.

Eve is a ongoing sandbox with big political consequences and none can say what the future holds.

Within the upcomming months Sov will be easier to take and open up a window for people getting spacerich as smaller alliances.

Supers are on the menu to be redesinged instead of being massive HP grinders and force multipliers to secure victory over enemy’s who cant field them.

Building your own empire will be posible in 2015 as tons of new posibiliy’s to realy adjust your space and build it the way you want will become a reality.

imperium (cfc) is the coalition to beat and this might become a reality soon with all these changes, but it willr require dedication and stamina, and that should be a goal for all the people we have beaten in the last decade.

Mittanigrad should become under siege when all these changes goes live.

Let’s say after that wipe a random newbie creates a char, and some goon director creates a char. Who’s got more experience, contacts and knowledge, and therefore more chances to win the nullsec the way it is won now?

Most articles they post will have a “Source” at the bottom. It has a link to either the website for the game, or the devblog or whatever.

Sythalin Yup, fiction mirrors reality, in the real world all the countries are holding hands because it’s a lot easier and more profitable than constant warring.  Which Ironically is supposed to be the “fun” part of games, sadly you get the eve mega corps where everyone’s comfortable and unwilling to step out of that comfort zone (oh look, mirroring real life again), but in this case it ruins the game for everyone else.
It leaves the dev team in a bit of a pickle, since they can’t really reprimand these mega corps for playing and allying together to control everything, but at the same time they need to do something to loosen their iron grip on nullsec.
