FLY, YOU FOOLS!

Nepal can’t seem to catch a break, as a second major earthquake has devastated the region two weeks after a quake killed over 8,000 people. EVE Online developer CCP continues to do its part for victims. Proceeds from its PLEX for GOOD initiative topped $61,000 in support of the original quake cleanup. Now the firm is extending its drive for an additional nine days in order to help out with the latest disaster.

In other EVE news, CCP has also released a dev blog detailing its extensive plans for overhauling structures in its sci-fi sandbox.

Also, you don’t need to buy a PLEX for real money, you can buy it in game with Isk and donate that. If you don’t have enough for a PLEX there are a bunch of people out there like Cribba who will take your isk, group it up and buy PLEX with it.

I’d like to point out something that may help motivate folks to make a donation.
Anyone who donates a PLEX gets a limited edition in-game shirt for their character (both male and female versions). This is mentioned in the blog post, but not in any of the articles here on MassivelyOP, so I thought I’d drop that little nugget of info here in case any readers out there are holding back. Those shirts may eventually be worth more than the PLEX you donate (limited edition, cost the price of a PLEX already, and quantity of this item in game will only ever go down), so it’s not a bad speculative investment.
Don’t be cheap, get in there and make a donation. If not for the Nepali folks affected by this tragedy, then for your wallet’s isk balance!
