World of Warplanes

How would you like to shoot down DonnieWahlberg in World of Warplanes? Perhaps you can, assuming that Wargaming didn’t just make up the gamer handle in support of its latest competition.

The Skywriting: DOGFIGHT contest starts today, and it continues through Sunday, May 24th. In a nutshell, you’ll need to spell the word “dogfight” by shooting down pilots whose names begin with the appropriate letter. For example, you could kill everyone’s favorite New Kid on the Block followed by “OddlySomething, Griffindor, FredUmperton, IglooSpaceCastle, Ghost255, Hightower, and Thomasdatrain. You’ll need to screenshot your kills, and you could win extra hangar slots for your trouble! Wargaming says that it will randomly select 10 pilots who complete the task and award them appropriately.

I don’t know what people don’t like about World of Warplanes.   It has awesome graphics, it’s fun, and I really enjoy it.
The only possible flaw to me is that collisions happen.   But that’s the fault of the pilots just refusing to blink as they rush dead on, and it happens in Star Citizen too.
War Thunder has some nice features, like seeing the planes shred to pieces as you shoot at them, and also takeoffs and landings and running out of ammo in the career / historical mode.    But the arcade mode is terrible, and its graphics are shite compared to World of Warplanes, and WT’s tech trees and UI are awful to navigate compared to the slick, clean, concise Wargaming ones.

This is just crying out for an in-built killstreak perk: Word of the Day.

NONE of Wargaming games will be as good as World of Tanks.

World of Warplanes is god awful.
World of Warships is better than Warplanes but still nowhere as good as Tanks.

And World of Tanks is already showing it’s age, not too mention the other plethora of issues plaguing Tanks.

So basically trying to remove the already non-existent teamwork that all Wargaming products feature proudly? Could you imagine LoL without the ELO matchmaker? No of course not, however Wargaming is proud to not give a shit about balance.
