Win a Moonrise stress test key from Massively OP [All gone now!]

Undead Labs’ OARPGTCG — I’m totally coining that — Moonrise is due to hit Steam early access next week on May 27th. It’s launching with two editions for PC and Mac: the $15 Warden version, which comes with exclusive skins, gold, and gems; and the $20 Guildmaster version, which comes with even more exclusive skins, gold, and gems.

If you’d like to try it out ahead of launch to decide whether it’s worth your dough, then you’re in luck because Undead Labs is planning a beta stress test for this very weekend and has invited Massively OP’s readers to join in the chaos.

We’ve got 1000 Steam keys to hand out in this giveaway; all you’ve got to do is click the giveaway button below to snag one, courtesy of Undead Labs.

No keys left! Sorry.

Code redemption is easy: Log into your Steam client, click on the “Games” tab at the tippy-top, and then “Activate a product on Steam.” Agree to Steam’s terms, and then enter your key into the Product Code tab that follows. You’ll be accepted into the beta and prompted to download Moonrise in prep for the event. I know because I tried it myself!

This test should be open to anyone and everyone, even overseas folks, as long as you’ve got a Steam account.

Good luck everyone! Here’s a quick gameplay trailer to tide you over:

Lerxx McSleaz I agree with this statement.  If you’re really grinding something out and are more than powerful enough to handle then you can do, but the AI is in fact really stupid.  I can’t overly express how much it burns to watch auto when one of your pets keeps cleansing for no reason… repeatedly.  1 shot to kill a mob left and they will buff and rebuff, and cleanse and do ANYTHING but kill the mob.  Now the buffs I understand.  Put buff up when down is simple logic.  But the cleanse.  I hope they put some additional AI in there to not cleanse unless you’ve actually have a status effect impacting you.  I may be not understanding what the mechanics are and to be fair it may be a status immunity… but if not, then the AI is not the way to go unless your grinding out lower level stuff.

No, it’s just Pokemon in real time instead of being turn-based.

Is this like a PokeMoba?

McSleaz Lerxx Not really, no.  There is a menu that you need to click through to begin each fight.  Then your solari can fight on autopilot if you wish.  This is not nearly as efficient as controlling them yourself, because the AI can be dumb.  If your pets are strong though, they will get the job done after two or three minutes.
A few more clicks  to collect rewards, start the next round, and then it’s back to Netflix.

Lerxx “The vast majority of that time was spent with my solari set to auto-battle, grinding xp while watching tv.” I love games like that for running in the background while I RP in RIFT! :)
