Skyforge previews the Kinetic class

I was hoping to punch things.

The Kinetic is a class all about understanding the gravity of the situation. More specifically, it’s about manipulating and utilizing gravity to fling boulders and/or enemies around. If you like ripping rocks from the earth and throwing them into your enemies at high velocities, congratulations, you’ve found your class, and you can read all about Skyforge‘s gravity manipulators in the latest class preview on the official site.

As a ranged class, the Kinetic has a variety of abilities to disable, stun, or otherwise control enemies. It also has the aforementioned ripping of rocks from the ground along with a high degree of mobility as well as unleashing a great deal of damage in a close-range situation. The class excels at being mobile and versatile, which you’d sort of expect from the class name, but it still has some surprising tricks up its sleeve.

This is a really interesting evolution of a mage class. I might actually go check this game out now…

chosenxeno It is a great “comfort food” MMO.  I’m really curious where the story is going too.  It’s one plot that I have not expected most of the twists.

Been in the Beta. Not the most Challenging game but the Combat is satisfying and the class design is top notch. It’s a “session” MMORPG. Do not expect WoW 2.0 and you’ll be fine.

I’d love for this to be a good game, but I’ve been hurt before.

MatthewYetter Nothing better than getting the killing blow by hurling a urinal at your foe.

Mochaccino Robert80  True, but… they could at least have, you know, an effect left for a little bit.  Something to make that less jarring.

Was wondering. So many games these days I can not realistically keep up.

The kinetic summons stuff out of the ground. That’s just one character. Imagine for a whole server. I don’t see how they’d solve this for an MMO.
Or let them keep going until they destroy an area, forever, lol.
Voxels? Everquest Next? I dunno.  It’d be interesting.

Mochaccino Robert80  Well, only one so far, and it is an alpha sandbox… but more from non-MMOs.  Sadly games from 1995 had innovations that we still haven’t seen making their way into most of MMO-space.

“I… have been spoiled by persistent effects.”

In an MMO?
