Das Tal is halfway to funding on Kickstarter with two days left

Take a shot.

The halfway mark for funding is an important milestone for any Kickstarter campaign, but whether it’s a good sign or a darker one depends a lot upon when you hit it. Das Tal has hit its halfway mark for funding, but there are only two more days as of this writing for the campaign to finish up. That’s not a whole lot of time to raise the other half of funding for a successful push.

Fans and backers have been kept up to date with regular updates from the development team. The team has talked about using fan creativity to help bring ideas into the game, posted the future roadmap for the game from here on out, and implored the community to rally during this final push for funding. As a reminder, the game is opening its doors to everyone on June 9th for those who’d like to see the game in action before funding or not.

MewmewGirl How many have their been that haven’t lived up to their promises? I don’t follow many Kickstarters, but the few I have contributed to have done pretty well so far.

“LOL and Diablo are isometric though” but neither are open world or mmos, which was the point of discussion.

“Maybe you and some other people don’t like isometric games or want to play pvp isometric games, but that doesn’t mean that everybody hates them”
No one said that.  I’m saying not enough people like this attempt at an isometric pvp mmo to make it a success, a fact which is difficult to argue, considering the state of the kickstarter

I think most people who saw a Kickstarter asking for €50,000 to build an MMO would conclude that it was a joke. Your first thought certainly wouldn’t be “yep, these guys know what they’re doing”.

too bad. i kinda liked the art style but… something about the way theyve promoted this game has made it seem really uninteresting. i even had alpha access at one point and just never really felt like trying it. maybe if every screen and video out there didnt look identical, meh

KingoZZie I played this game also, and after 2 hours of testing, came to the conclusion that it’s another(poorly done) GANKBOX!

I played solo and couldn’t get anything done cause every 5 min some group runs by and ganks you for fun.

Lheiah Isn’t it Albion Online that has forced isometric view? I always get those two mixed up.

It’s tough to listen to Kickstarter promises anymore, with how many Kickstarter games have been released and not lived up to their promises.
