The power of price compels you, or something.

So, how do you transition from playing Skyrim to The Elder Scrolls Online? Well, first you log on, which can be a bit of a challenge in and of itself. From there, though, you have a lot of similarities and differences from the traditional single-player offerings in the series. A new post on the official Bethesda blog offers a simple guide to playing the title even if you’ve never stepped into an online game before.

If you’ve been playing the game online for quite some time, you will be familiar with all of the changes. But if you have a friend who loved playing offline and might want to get in on the MMORPG action, you could do worse than pointing to this guide as a starting point.

had a very hard time dealing with texture pop in and player culling on a fairly high end computer. it’ll be interesting to see how they worked through those problems for the console version

ESO – Console. It’s all you read, see and hear about. I understand their need to market the game to console players given the huge potential, but I can’t help but feeling left out information- and content-wise.

Well, not that it matters so much to me. I’m not playing the game, but it’s on my ‘Lord of the Rings Online alternative’ list. Since I haven’t heard anything remotely interesting past few months, interession is waning and Shroud of the Avatar lurks around the corner.

mmonerd solipsis Yes, oh my god…. YES. This needs to be their #1 (or close to it) priority now that their precious console launch has happened. The latency issue is more than just PvP… many times I get huge spikes in dungeons or normal questing.

mmonerd solipsis or latency ? like you hit somebody and he goes down a few seconds later with his body floating around like he’s moving for another few ?

epic combats right there.

oh, and fix animation cancelling. when somebody hits you with 1 ability but when you die it shows like 3 different ones… i mean…
