Torchlight has no shortage of fans devoted to the stylized action RPG, and this week those fans have a new reason to rejoice. The series will soon be making its way to mobile platforms, perhaps this year.
Torchlight Mobile is being developed by Perfect World and Runic Games, which could both indicate a free-to-play model and multiplayer aspects. The website is taking sign-ups for those who want to stay in the loop on the game’s development, and it’s expected that we’ll be hearing more about the title from E3 next week.

MikedotFoster Zynga has about 3 games on the iPhones top 20 money making lists atm.  They are making plenty of money.  Reaching investor expectations?  No, but those were silly to begin with.
PizzaDoh That was the game I was thinking of.  For it to really work properly you needed a good connection.  If you have a good connection you might as well be playing a real MOBA on a pc.
Armsbend Sorenthaz I don’t pretend to know numbers, so that was just a guesstimate. Â
Mostly based off the fact that LoL has around 100 million players now or something?

Werewolf Finds Dragon True, mods make this game great.
Armsbend Sorenthaz The maps of the world link above showed showed 310M PCs in the US, 195M in China. Smartphones are 2100M and the annual growth of smartphones is about the combined installed PCs in the US and China. Several recent periods PC sales have declined.

Rheem Octuris Torchlight had kinda a rogue like feel going on with it but felt like it should have been more expansive. TL2 felt like a weird Diablo. Rather than expand on the uniqueness of the game, they just made it less unique.
Sorenthaz You realize that they were bought out before TL2 right?
Armsbend Greaterdivinity Vainglory was pretty good IMO but still obviously suffered from all the issues of touch screen gaming. It didn’t feel as painfully obnoxious as most though.
