World of Tanks has already stormed the beachhead of Xbox 360, but it’s aiming for even more significant gains with its Xbox One release when it launches on the platform next month.

The tank arena game will debut on Xbox One on July 28th, although you won’t need to wait that long to play it. Wargaming is planning for a public beta on July 11th and 12th, and you can start preloading it on the 10th. As with its other editions, World of Tanks on the Xbox One will be free to download, although players will need a gold membership to play it.

The Xbox One version will feature cross-platform play with the Xbox 360 edition, although it will look much better thanks to the former’s heftier hardware.
