Trove expands server capacity to handle population influx

It’s a good problem to have: Trove’s servers are filling up to the brim and even causing queues to form. Fortunately, Trion Worlds said that it will be expanding capacity on the hardware today to accommodate more players looking to get into the game.

“While the servers are running at capacity now (which means you’ll see some queues), we’re rolling out optimizations with an update [this] morning that will allow us to hold even more players!” the studio posted.

Trove is on the verge of release, with its launch day scheduled for July 9th.

So far from our perspective Trove has a very big player base that is open to spending money. We have ALOT of people that buy Trove Flux, Trove Glim and more at http://www.mogs.com/trove-

Trove is a game I wanted to try, but somewhen this year, Trion started to have problems with german Email providers. The mail for their “new access point, here’s a code” , that you get after every 24 hour disconnect (very annoying), don’t come through anymore. Forums tell horror storys of support via mail, as you can’t acces normal support without logging in.

I’m still not sure if trying the game is worth making another mail adress, getting through the support hassle to change my mail at Trion, and the getting to input a new code every day.

deekay_zero clearly, you are a troll who has never played this game. Anytime I log in, there are hundreds of people playing.
This game rocks!!

Ironweakness Last I checked, you can add it to your wishlist, but it says it will unlock on July 9th. Can’t play it through Steam just yet.

Wow, I was on last night too (admittedly vey late) and I didn’t have a queue. That’s crazy though!

Honestly, you can easily play this game without spending a dime. I really like Trove and actively look for things I want to buy to support the game but have maybe spent $15 total since I started playing back in the closed beta? And that’s with mostly a casual off and on approach. I’ve earned all the classes and am gearing up just fine without the cash shop. It’s just not necessary to the enjoyment of the game which is nice. They even give you credits (otherwise exclusive to real money) as rewards for a few of the mastery rank tiers.
I know it’s the same publisher as ArcheAge but it’s a completely different development team and so far the game they are making is really good with a reasonable cash shop. I hate to see so many people write it off because of ArchAge. But then again, that’s Trion’s fault. If a publisher makes so many big mistakes with one of their most anticipated titles then their playerbase will be skeptical of them until they earn back the communities trust.
Now for people who just don’t like the voxel look or the simplicity, sure, those are good reasons to write it off. Otherwise it’s a lot of fun.

Is it accessible on steam now while in beta? I didn’t think that was until July 9th for the official release.

That’s great to hear, in game it’s hard to tell how many people are playing because everything is separated into shards. New hub worlds and maps form depending on population so you’re never all in one place.
It’s been pretty crazy the last couple of nights though. During the challenges the maps fill up quickly as we all race to the appropriate biome to complete the required number of dungeons to earn the dragon caches.
The amount of content added lately is immense and there’s more to come before launch. It’s good to hear other players are really digging the new stuff as well.

deekay_zero My husband had a queue of 461 last night.  So yes!  I found it very surprising.
