The Stream Team: Taking on Aimee in The Secret World’s Orochi Tower

There are more dangers in The Secret World‘s Orochi Tower than MassivelyOP’s Justin and MJ faced during their last trip inside — more than just experiments gone awry, bunny assassins, and immortal demons. There’s the tower itself! Or more precisely, there’s the computer that runs the tower: Aimee. And she’s a handful to deal with. Tune in live at 9:00 p.m. as MJ and Justin join the classic struggle of man vs. machine as they face off against the faceless.

What: The Secret World
Who: Justin Olivetti & MJ Guthrie
When: 9:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday, June 25th, 2015

groo the wanderer  MJ Guthrie Actually, I did start a new character as soon as as the change was made and have played her quite a bunch. I have streamed and discussed the experience as well.  I still do not agree with you; I think the game is better.

MJ Guthrie groo the wanderer Try creating a new character and going back through Transylvania and you will soon see the difference . If you are at the end game and playing through Tokyo you wont notice it .  I would be very interested if you write an article on your perceptions on the game if you try the enhanced player experience on an alt .

I suspect you might end up agreeing with me . I’m just very disheartend at what the game has become .

groo the wanderer I disagree.  Don’t think what they have done is bad at all, and I don’t think it has been radically dumbed down either.

Nordavind OK. I won’t tell you. I don’t like playing alone, so if you wanna join me for a run I only need 2 more!

This used to be a great game and once you get to Tokyo it still is but Funcom lost its nerve like many companies and dumbed down the original content up to that point . There was a need to streamline it a bit more because a lot of people used to quit at Blue Mountain but they went too far and what used to be a fun challenging ( but not impossible game ) is a lot easier than other mmos I play . I have seen this happen too many times before and its always a slippery slope so I have learned once a game goes down this path by far the wisest choice is not to invest any more time and money into it . Move onto something else and allow those who want easier casual gameplay to enjoy it . Its as a shame whole that mmos don’t offer varying difficulty servers in the way that single player games do . Mind you Daybreak seem to be reversing that trend to great applause that should tell the guys a funcom a thing or two .
