WRUP: Someone was really hungry edition

Everyone was wearing matching towels.

I don’t know how we got to the point of eating lobster, exactly, but someone must have been really hungry. Like, insanely hungry. Someone fished up that thing, and rather than deciding that it was proof that there were no loving deities in the world, the fisher thought “let’s boil that and eat it.” And then it was drenched in butter until the rubbery lobster meat became something palatable, which is somehow even more nonsensical than the fact that you’d look at this thing and think you should eat it.

But I don’t care about what you’re eating this weekend and you don’t care about what I’m eating. No, what I care about is the answer to the question of What Are You Playing. We’ll let you know what those of us on the Massively Overpowered staff will be playing along with some of our patrons, and you can let us know your plans down in the comments.

Brendan Drain (@nyphur): I’ve got 40 pre-fit disposable cruisers in EVE Online and this weekend I intend to lose them all in glorious yet fiscally responsible combat. I’ll also be trying to figure out what they’ve done to my elementalist’s traits in Guild Wars 2 and putting together a patch for DOSBox that should make some old games like Constructor and Master of Orion II touch-screen compatible. Busy weekend!

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Marvel Heroes. I hear they are having like 50 parties at once, and there are probably ponies and beer. But seriously! I’ve been playing around with some new-to-me toons: Invisible Woman and Star-Lord. So I’ll try to sneak in some playtime this weekend.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog):Enjoying having a friend over by having us all play Final Fantasy XIV? Yeah, that sounds good to me.

Jef Reahard (@jefreahard): I’ll be playing Ark: Survival Evolved and pretending like I know what I’m doing when it comes to administering the MOP ARK server.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I’d like to say that I’ll be checking out Anarchy Online‘s brand-new graphics engine — which I’d really like to do — but Marvel Heroes‘ Big 10 event has pushed everything else from my schedule. So much stuffs. So much loots. So wow. Must do it all. Must level all the things. Please send help.

Larry Everett (@Shaddoe, blog): This weekend, I’m going to do a bit of soul searching in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Server transfers are only 90 Cartel Coins, and I’m considering finding a second server home for PvE stuff.

Michael Gray: I made a water balloon catapult for my daughter to help encourage me to sprint during runs in the yard. So the game is she’s a pirate trying to hit me with a water balloon, and the only dodge I’m allowed is to sprint to avoid it.

DirtyKlingon (@deekay_zero): More WildStar and more D&D; June has been a great month. Sundial will also be here tonight kicking off my guild’s first meet-up, even though it’s just the two of us and my bro that already lives with me hanging out. Beers and barbeques abound, and hopefully he’s not a serial killer that goes extremely out of his way to find prey. (If you don’t hear from me this coming week, call the mounties.)

Brandon “KythasWraith” Adams: Another weekend down, and only a few more ’til I can smell the sweet aromas of home (unfortunately “home” is Oklahoma; Las Vegas I do miss thee). I’ll be flying for well over half a day over the weekend and plan to play some more of the Final Fantasy X remaster on my Vita while up in the sky, but I know I’ll likely log most of my time in Theatrhythm: Curtain Call or Majora’s Mask 3DS instead. Once I find my feet back on solid ground I will be resume my journey to level 60 in Heavensward. It’s been a great expansion thus far, and I am eager to see how the story plays out. I haven’t been this enthralled by a Final Fantasy tale since Final Fantasy XII.

Your turn!
