Armored Warfare, Obsidian Entertainment and My.com’s tank MMO shooter, has entered its third round of early access beta this week, and that means a fresh key giveaway: We’ve got 1000 keys for Armored Warfare to hand out to the first lucky folks who head onward to the clicky button!

No keys left! Sorry.

Here’s how to redeem your key: Create and log into your Armored Warfare account. Go to your profile and select “Redeem a Promo Code.” Insert the code to activate. You can download your client on the official site once you’re all signed up and squared away.

If you already had access to the first or second rounds, you won’t need a key to this one; you’re automatically in, and your progress will carry over.

This leg of the test phase runs until July 14th from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. EDT on the NA servers (5 p.m. to 11 p.m. CEST on the EU servers). Expect to test out improvements to the matchmaker, vehicle decals, graphics settings for those on old rigs, and the brand-new PvE mode. We’ve got the trailer introducing PvE below.

If you don’t score a key from us today, you can snag access by buying one of the game’s early access founder packs. The official site says the devs are “hoping that it will only be a few months” between the launch of early access and open beta.

Good luck and have fun!

I guess this makes CoD and BF MMOs.

As cool as tanks are, I would think Obsidian Entertainment would be better making a fantasy mmo like neverwinter…. interesting, looking at the wiki they’re helping to make skyforge.

After Allods failed attempt, I was a little hesitant with skyforge

Dnote eLdritchMD BalsBigBrother it really doesn’t take that long tbh, the first new tech appears at around tier 4… and the dynamic is a bit different too because of pretty much every tank type being as fast as they are. It just speeds the games up so much. An average game in AW is like 5 minutes long… in WoT it’s more like 7 or 8. Makes a huge difference because the game feels a lot more fast paced while still retaining that strategic element and slow rate of fire that makes it the prime shooter of choice for old, rubbish gamers such as myself xD

Is there any way to see the key they gave you now that the clickable link is gone?

eLdritchMD BalsBigBrother Dnote Maybe the problem for me then is that early in the game there is little difference between what you have available and the WWII tanks of WoT. Technically they may be different, but the gameplay is the same.

Late game with modern technology sounds like it could be more fun, but I’d never get that far to try it, or at least haven’t got that far.

World of Warships though is fantastic :)

TronSheridan yep AW might be your thing then ;) Even in Scout vehicles you have a good chance of busting armor with guided missiles ^^

BalsBigBrother eLdritchMD Dnote yeah I’m a natural treadhead ^^ Generally prefer WW2 age tanks but some of this newer stuff has a certain charm….  guided missiles f.e. make for a very neat difference between this and WoT.

Ships are pretty cool though. I like WoWS a lot more than I thought I would ^^

I’ll check it out.  I liked the concept of WoT.  hated being one shotted by veterans who spend money (or grind endlessly) to upgrade/buy their tanks, and buy all the best ammo.  So I drive around bounding shells off them, while getting one shotted every time.  Yeahhhhhhh…a bit frustrating.  Haven’t played it in a couple years now.  But love the genre, coming from traditional table top wargaming in my youth.

Think I’m going to pass on this one, with World of Warships going into OB. Have fun!

eLdritchMD Dnote I guess it helps if you are into the source material and tanks never really did it for me and the game play wasn’t quite there for me either. Hope you all have fun with it though if you like that sort of thing.

Now if we are talking warships that is a whole other matter :-)
