The Division gets a Dark Zone story trailer

Exploitation.

Earlier this week Ubisoft revealed a Dark Zone gameplay trailer for its forthcoming action shooter called The Division. This week, the firm released a story trailer for the same zone, and though it’s quite a bit shorter than the previous offering, it’s worth watching if you’d like to know the hows and the whys behind the game’s quarantine zones, masked gunmen, and various and sundry end-of-the-world trappings.

“They said it was just the flu, but it turned out to be something else entirely,” the trailer explains, while delivering a montage of eerie concept art and ominous music. See for yourself after the cut.

pid the number of players required depends on the “shard/zone/visible” area size.

i would classify anything with say 50+ players, able to reside within my sphere of potential visibility, to be an MMO.
if they are able to freely walk in and out of that range/zone area via their movements in the virtual world.

Sounds really spooky I just hope the game itself is anywhere as good as the marketing.

The lack of civilians in the game is disappointing.

It would add so much ambiance and choosing whether or not to kill/help/talk to them.

I swear when they first announced this it was supposed to be more mmo, not really interested in another lobby shooter like destiny.

Thanks for the info!
In other words, though, thanks but no thanks.  I’m glad I didn’t preorder this:  I’ve had enough of quasi-multiplayer games that charge all outdoors for tiny “campansions” (Kyle Vallee of Daybreak coined this term for EQ2’s paid updates going forward).

Nreff pid  Sounds pretty weak. Too casual for me.

Pretty much all I’ve ever dreamed of. But is this an MMO? I’m confus. I’ve followed it for a while in the beginning then let it go because of reasons (had to play hard and no time to waste).

Even if there are MILLIONS of concurrent players I’m NOT INTERESTED in this number, it’s meaningless.
What counts is the number of concurrent players IN THE SAME AREA (shard/zone/visible on screen and interactible)!

less than 250 => not an MMO
about 32 or 64 => classic single player FPS with multiplayer mode
even less => far away from “massive” in MMO

So what is this thing here? are there any news about the TRUE concurrency limit?

I don’t really care if the game is mediocre, I just want something to fill that Destiny slot on the PC.
