Destiny’s Taken King PS4 bundle to release in September

If you don’t have a PlayStation 4 yet, and you’re a fan of Destiny, you might want to consider the Limited Edition: The Taken King PS4 bundle that will go on sale September 15th.

The Taken King is of course the sci-fantasy shooter’s third expansion, and the new bundle includes Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition which in turn includes the new expansion and the previous two. You’ll also get a digital collector’s edition upgrade with emotes, armor shaders, and a weapon pack, not to mention the Guardian-themed PS4 itself.

Xijit drypulse since PS4 still sells some units thanks to Destiny, I think Sony will likely convince Bungie not to do that  … IMHO

Bloodborne would like a word with you. ;)
Well, big console exclusives have been thiner on the ground this cycle. But even so, there’s still likely to be enough over the life of the generation to make it worth owning a One or PS4, even if Destiny didn’t end up being your thing.
Especially when you factor in the odd terrible PC port of a decent game. ;)

To me, Taken King should be free for anyone who mistakenly bought the season pass (House of Wolves and that other thing) thinking it would have actual content in it, besides a forced re-grind for all your gear because…well…because.

I was so close to buying a PS4 wenn Destiny came out.

Thank fuck I didn’t.

Includes a special visit from Luke Smith to come to your home and call you a “dumb son a bitch” and kick you in the groin once a week.

I admit it looks really cool.
However as an Xbox One owner who has Destiny, this doesn’t appeal to me.
Firstly, I don’t want a PS4.
Secondly, Destiny is one the most boring games I have played in years.
I hope the people who get this bundle end up enjoying Destiny, because I for sure didn’t.

Estranged PizzaDoh Well if you’ve read any of the interviews or info on it bungie has taken a really douchy stance of “you know you want it” over special content that requires you to repurchase the entire game and its expansions to get (eurogamer interview).

Bungie has proven time and time again with destiny they are not a trustworthy or player focused company.

Xijit Estranged Exactly.  Also, depending on how you want to purchase the game, my local GameStop has it for $30 used.  If you aren’t in a hurry, might as well see it in 1080p glory with all of the improvements.

I have the demo on my PS3, I just haven’t felt like blowing $80~ on it when I am going to be getting a PS4 soon.
