Trove details your first five hours of play

Ladybug hunting.

When Trove leaves its beta label behind later this week, there will be players jumping in with no idea how the game is supposed to operate. That’s a given. Thus, it’s to the game’s credit that a new walkthrough has been posted on the official site detailing what players can expect from the first five hours in the game. If you’re starting fresh and need a helping hand figuring out what to do, this is your resource.

The nature of the official site means that this is a little bit on the quick-and-dirty side of guides, but it still covers the features found on the hub and the quick version of how to access various functions throughout the game world. Take a gander at the whole thing if you’re eager to get into the game once it launches on July 9th.

Hour one: “Wow, this game seems pretty cool!”
Hour two: “Haha, I’m collecting so many crazy little things.  And I really like the designs in these lairs/dungeons.”
Hour three: “How am I already level 10? Isn’t the level cap 20? Well time to check out the Uber world! …Wait, why does it say Uber 1…”
Hour four: “…Yeah I’m not doing the same shit over and over again for 10 more
levels only to gear grind to artificially increase my level further so I
can do the same shit with bigger numbers.”
Hour five: User not found.

The_Lightbringr  It does.  The game is fun to go back to occasionally for a casual mindless romp, but if you try to get invested in the endgame your time is pretty much better spent in more serious MMOs that actually have endgame content that isn’t a copy-paste of what you’ve been doing since level 10.

Surprisingly enjoyable considering it’s a Trion game.  Give it a go but don’t spend money on it.
