World of Warcraft timewalks to the Halls of Lightning and reveals SDCC goodies

And STILL champEEEEN

If nothing else, the timewalking dungeons in World of Warcraft have proven a great opportunity to look back at dungeons that you may have forgotten about altogether. When was the last time you really thought about the Halls of Lightning? It exists, it can be timewalked through during the Wrath of the Lich King timewalking event, and it features plenty of shocking challenges for even veteran players. Or not very shocking if you read up on the mini-guide from the official side, which details all of the dungeons mechanics. (They involve electricity.)

The official site has also unveiled both the goodies from the current San Diego Comic-Con and some of the revelations from the show floor, including the first installment of the Warcraft Chronicle looking back over the franchise lore and history. Check out the start just below if you aren’t on the show floor yourself, which seems rather likely if you’re reading this.

Rehashing old contend people played a thousand times over….

Ridiculous how bad they are doing with a budget that far exceeds any other mmo studio in the world.

Seems all the talent left or grew fat and ran out of ideas to keep WoW fun and engaging.

WoD is shallow and boring and MoP wasnt that much better, Cata was soso and if this continues without making a brand new mmo with the IP’s blizzard have its just sad to see Blizard doing this to themselves.

What happened to Project Titan :P ?

Ehhhh true in some ways but 2.0.is seen more as a stand alone then expansion by most.
I WILL agree i wish i coukd see it but i really do see 1.0 as a different game then ARR

SorriorDragneel You can’t go back to anything from 1.0 though. So no incredibly detailed crafting system, 4k textures, classes being actually classes and didn’t need to be jobs in order to do the thing, or the old dungeons. They did bring some of that stuff back for 2.0 though! Mog King, Ifrit, and Garuda, while streamlining the old dungeons so they weren’t balls out bonkers with exploring every corner of it.

I kind of find it funny whenever Blizzard talks about Warcraft 1 being this amazing game. Mostly because it was pretty mediocre when it came out and really hard with all the lore for that game being made as they just made maps in their map maker for the game.

I’ve tried to get into Timewalking but replaying content I’ve done over and over and over again and again and again in the past.. it just hasn’t happened, sorry Blizz.

Wrath pretty much owns WoD at this point. By 6.2, we had way more content, and it wasn’t the last raid patch of the expansion.
We also didn’t call our minor patches “big ones”.

Well then my appetite for wow jus dried even before starting. .. They should change the region based on character progress thru the story like lotto does or offer content unlock like gw2 is doing .. wow is epic cause of its story.. They should open up old content..
