WRUP: Pallas cats are the best cats edition

SIR

As an owner of two cats which manage to somehow feel like seven cats, I really, truly want a Pallas cat. They are unbelievably adorable. They’re huge fluffy piles of angry wild bear-cat, there is no reason for them to exist, and based upon the absolutely no research I have done the only ecological niche they could possibly fill is “fluffbottom.” I want fifteen of them, like, yesterday.

So cute.

Where was I? Oh, right, it’s time for What Are You Playing yet again, because that happens every weekend without fail. We’ve got our entries and the entries of our lovely Patreon backers down below, and below that is the comment section. You can use that to let us know what you’re playing. Everything comes full circle. If you’ll be spending the weekend looking up more Pallas cat pictures, my task is done.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Marvel Heroes for me, and maybe some Trove now that it’s all officially official-like.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Time to start learning Alexander normal in Final Fantasy XIV along with getting plenty of roleplaying, and perhaps a touch of Skyforge early access. And I’ve wasted oh so much time this week on games that I bought super-cheap during the Steam Summer Sale. Triple Town is a seductive monster.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I think I would dearly love to get in a big, juicy WildStar play session and see if I couldn’t knock out the rest of Malgrave. A dreamer’s gotta dream, after all. Marvel Heroes is also calling, especially with its cosmic terminals coughing up more loot.

Lisa: This weekend, if I can get time, more ARK. So far, I have eight dodos. Do I want more? Do eight dodos count as an army? My base certainly is overrun with those crazy birds.

Pierre: I’m with my family this weekend (here in France, our 4th of July is the 14th of July in remembrance of the French Revolution, so it will be a four-day weekend). As I will spend most of my time with my close ones, I’ll have little time for MMOs. But Final Fantasy XIV will be my virtual world of choice in my free time.

Your turn!

Valkyriez In always been there in DX9 but i could work around it by forcing a better AA. Sadly, it doesn’t seem possible any more. Never mind i’ve sort of got used to it over the weekend’s gaming. :)

…I don’t think that one wants to be petted. :(

I’m getting that texture problem on DX11 aswell. It’s really distracting in some areas.

Servals are wild so illegal in most countries… Have a look at the savannah cat!

Getting close to level cap in FFXIV. The journey has been amazing thus far, although i wish that the dynamic and inertia of the storyline stayed constant like in the 50-56 range. It has definitely slowed down after 56, and after Churning Mists i am all burned out on side quests.. Nonetheless, Hinterlands seems like a fun zone so i am looking forward to spending more time here.
Is Idyllshire an endgame town? Because there are a lot of players running around there..
Anyhow, as for the short bursts of gaming – i am mesmerized by World of Warships at the moment. A stunning game both on visual and sound fronts. And fun gameplay to boot. It still seems very much unbalanced, but i’m sure it’ll get polished as it flows (pun intended) into release.

I’m sorry to get serious here, but Pallas cats wouldn’t make good pets :P  They’re cute, look small, but they’re not at all like domesticated cats no matter  how much they look like them.  They are very much a wild animal that has always been wild.  They shouldn’t be kept as a pet under any circumstances.

That said, if you think they’re cute you should also check out Sand cats.  They have the same low set ears and are even smaller, though less fluffy because of where they live.  They shouldn’t be kept as pets either though :D

Splatoon mostly, since my lap top’s having issues and randomly shutting down. I don’t think the general heat here is helping. I’ve played some Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm, but I’m so many months behind on finishing Dragon Age Inquisition. I like the game, but rarely feel like I have time to play it, especially now with the random crashes.
