ArcheAge makes amends for past mistakes by banning bots and easing up on RNG

In responding to a post on ArcheAge’s official forums about the game’s missteps and its future, CM Seraphina Brennan assured players that Trion is listening to the community and learning from its past handling of the title.

“While we cannot go back to the past in a time machine to alter the decisions made (though that would be cool), the team is committed to learning from those mistakes and discouraging them from happening again in the future,” Brennan wrote.

Two immediate improvements were mentioned in the response. The first was an “easing up” of ArcheAge’s infamous random number generator (RNG), with better drop rates for much desired items. The second was an assurance that the team is going all-out in its war against botting and hacking, with Brennan saying that bot banning has increased 300% in the past two weeks.
