Diablo III explains the benefits offered by Kanai’s Cube

MAKE ME

Your Diablo III characters lead lives in which every new artifact is judged on its ability to crush, exsanguinate, and electrocute every enemy within a five-yard radius. So being told that Kanai’s Cube is powerful implies that it has power solely within the realm of cutscenes and your characters would just as soon throw it in the closest Horadic Trash Receptacle. But even though you can’t use the cube to kill things, you can use it to enhance other items which can kill things. It enhances them in notable ways, even!

For example, Kanai’s Cube allows players to store up legendary powers and apply them to new items, or even reforge items to have more desirable stats. It also allows players to transmute crafting materials and remove the level requirement from items. It also has plenty of lore elements and strong resonance for long-time players of the franchise, but let’s face it, you were probably sold by the whole legendary power storage bit.

arktourosx indeed, although the recent season didn’t particularly impress me, this one has potential.

Xyggy Honestly the whole Cube dealio is great.  There’s nothing worse than getting an item you want and it’s just not quite there and a single stat reroll just won’t fix it.  As you really get higher in GRifts Ancient gear’s boosts become massive and trying to find that perfect weapon with the perfect rolls in a literal sea of items is just annoying beyond belief.  I couldn’t count the number of times I got duplicates of set items I already had and wish I coulda traded them out.

It’s another type currency, really, specializing in making stuff become better stuff. Doesn’t really add to the game, but doesn’t take away, either.  Unless you consider the time it takes to make better stuff, which interferes with killing baddies.

Bannex19 FFXIV is currently my only sub game and I enjoy it too just in a different way to D3. If people have other opinions then the way I look at it their loss and we get to enjoy a good game in the meantime :-)

Yeah I really should get over it, I’m still just baffled by people that think ffxiv is this amazing ray of purity that shines ever so brightly in the dank darkness that is mmo gaming.

Neither is anything ffxiv did. I’ve said multiple times I think ffxiv is a good game but it’s nothing special.

Bannex19 that chip on your shoulder is it heavy?
Enjoy the turnaround, have fun and be happy that you have a game you enjoy.  I enjoy D3 but then I always did for the most part and like that it just keeps getting better, which is good enough for me.
