So much Marvel Heroes @_@

I only ever played AC2, but friends in AC2 would rave about AC1… Â so I also tossed them some money in hopes that they can complete this.
Oh man – that was me that tweeted Justin <.< and it was much less frothey than he made me seem on the podcast :-) Anyway, yes I love you guys and look forward to my Tuesday afternoon commute where I can listen to ya’ll. Â
Great podcast, as always :D
breetoplay GodSawME I’ve actually had the same concern that GSM posted. That said, I’ve seen how it works in EvE and it isn’t an abusive mechanics system there. So I know it can be done well. That said, I tend to still scrutinize closely anyone wanting to implement such a mechanic because it can be done badly.
Since Bree gave me a “like”, I probably should expound in more detail as to why I said “Another enjoyable podcast”. I really just enjoy listening to Bree and Justin shoot the shit to be blunt, they have a great rapport between them. Chatting back and forth about our mutual hobby. It’s relaxing and entertaining to, so Tuesday’s Podcast has become something I’ve quickly grown used to looking forward to. Last week sucked that there wasn’t one, but I understand. :)
GodSawME It actually works pretty well in practice. It’s been a long time since I played EVE, so I won’t use that as an example, but in Glitch, on the other hand? It worked great. Really one of the big problems in MMOs is figuring out how to encourage you to do certain things while trying to reward you for them in ways that make sense. Level-based games abstract everything you do into experience. Skill-based games try to reward you for exactly what you do in the form of skills that you used. Offline-level-based games say look, this whole thing is dumb. Let’s pretend you study overnight. You’re getting your skill no matter what. Now, what do you want to DO with your playtime? Do anything. Banksit. Pick flowers. Raid. RP. Whatever. You still get the skills you wanted, at exactly the same rate as everyone else.
It completely opens up the game — for the players and the devs. I loved it.
Hey guys, terrific podcast as always. And a special thanks for the heads up on Project Gorgon. I tried out the free alpha and after completely losing track of time messing around, I’m thinking I might have to kick in a few bucks on the Kickstarter, even though I’m not a huge KS fan these days.. What caught my attanetion was the news about this just being a small project by this team and the comparisons to an old school MMO I used to love, Asheron’s Call. It does have some of that feel ( although the game, even in alpha state still looks better than original AC did ). Thanks for all you do guys!
+1 to Bree for mentioning City of Heroes! :)
A triumphant return! Â Another satisfying, fun and informative episode.
I understand it is impossible to record the podcast when you are away from home and your PC setup. I suggest we just create a crazy big daisy chain of join calls and make the podcast live via conference call on Justin’s next trip.  Justin please post you cell number so we can make this happen.
