Forget what you might have seen or played of The Repopulation’s PvP in the past, because the upcoming sandbox MMO is bringing to bear an overhauled interpersonal conflict system that could suck you in.
The team announced that it has recently completed a top-down revamp of the PvP system, allowing players to lay siege to enemy cities, conquer settlements, and fight over the Shattered Heights fort. Sieges will be massive events spanning three days apiece, although the opportunity to plunder and use an enemy town could be well worth the effort and resources expended.
The Repopulation’s new PvP system will be playable at this year’s PAX Prime. You can check out the latest trailer for the game after the jump.

Well, I want to play, keep trying to play, but the game remains a jerky, jittery lag-fest for me. My ping while trying to play looks more like ping-pong.
Nice vid, keep up the amazing work, guys :)
You have my attention with this PVP.
TierlessTime I just keep watching hoping that it has at least some better graphics than SWG at some point. Â Everything just seems to look bland. Â I kind of want the similar systems as SWG but for dated looking combat and graphics, I could just play the emu.
CharcoalCrow That explains why you always sound so bitter about the game.
Celebeth CharcoalCrow Yeah. I worked for them.
Just have not been able to get into The Repopulation.
For me, does not have the impact or ‘oomph’ that I would expect.
It all seems so dark and dreary.
With a lot of ‘Been There, Done That’ to it.
BalsBigBrother I’m probably in the same ballpark as you, adding that I’m not really big in sci-fi either. Despite all these features I do not enjoy, I have been playing the game on and off regularly, and I can’t wait for them to release with all the promised features in place.
The state of MMO’s in a nutshell, I don’t like half of all the features and I’m dying to play this.
CharcoalCrow Liandreth Thanks for the reply. I do like to craft. :)
I am at the point of waiting till this gets into a no wipe state before I take another look at it.
All the major bullet points of this game being pvp & crafting centric should make me run screaming to the hills given my general dislike for such things but I still find myself hoping it does well nevertheless. Â
I like the sci-fi premise of it and it does offer me some things to do as a pve player. How long it will keep my attention when I dive fully into it remains to be seen though.
