Remember ArcheVille? No, probably not; it was an ArcheAge mobile game that was shut down rather quickly back in 2013. The important thing is that XLGAMES is trying again with an as-yet unnamed new mobile game, and the developer has signed a contract to use the Unreal Engine 4 to develop this mobile game that you should be able to play on your smartphone.
No launch date or details have been announced, but the game does already have a worldwide publisher, Gamevil. How the game will tie into the full client is also a mystery. Still, at least there’s reason to believe that the mobile game will look very pretty based on the engine.

deekay_zero How well does UE4 actually work on mobile?
I was able to get Tappy Chicken to work on my phone, no real problem, just the occasional crash. Still I am not too sure how well UE4 runs on mobile, I have yet to meet anyone doing this.
TimothyTierless The whole tech industry does this. The leadership is horribly insecure, always trying to be some thing they are not.
Remember when Apple tried to be a PC company back in the 90’s by allowing clones? Google “+” wants to be Facebook, Facebook wants to be Watt’sApp, Microsoft wants to be an advertising and search company like Google, Twitter wishes they could match Facebooks user numbers and will alter everything to like FB, Microsoft wanted to be a phone maker like Apple, it just does not stop!
Now, apply this behavior to video games, and we get Call of World of League of Duty-Craft-Legend-Tanks. Hey, I just got an idea for a new hit MMO video game…
Like a dog after a car this genre is always chasing trends, but never able to catch them. Look inward MMO genre, look at what makes us special and focus on that, not what the latest trend is.
Sythalin It really seems there are only two crowds anymore. People who spend money on games…aka p2w and people who bitch about anything with a price tag..aka ..I don’t think we’ve bothered with a label for them.
Oh that changes everything.
I thought AA already monetized like a mobile game, this ought to be downright terrifying.
Serrenity They do have *evil* in their name… :D
Gamevil – Another one of those insanely sleazy mobile “game” developers (I’m loathe to the call them games).
Time for the mobile whales to get their chance to ruin a game… ROFL
