Greaterdivinity paragonlostinspace That’d be my take too! The funny stuff I do find dorkily amusing (I am a big dork!). The serious lore is cringeworthy. This is true of the vast majority of MMOs, to be fair. But I don’t wanna be fair; I expect better from Blizz.
Great to hear an update of MOP. Hats off to Bree and Co. for getting the new site up so fast, and not only picking up where they left off, but making it way better in short order. Without MassivelyOP I wouldn’t be in the know at all. No other site comes close. Thank you for all the entertainment you provide me. As soon as I can support you, I will. Unemployed right now, I know all of you can sympathize with that. (Positive side is I’m getting a ton done at home, carpet, flooring, put up a shed lol)
Grizzly Hills music is always welcome :D
And I’m very happy to know that the site is doing well. Keep up the great work!
Btw, I gotta strongly agree  with BBB’s comments to you all Bree. :) Very glad that the site’s going well. I think it’s safe to say that for many of us it has become our online reading community in regards to our mutual shared hobby of mmo’s and mmo-rpgs in particular.
Greaterdivinity paragonlostinspace Hehe, is so…that’s sooo very very sad.
paragonlostinspace Honestly, while there are a ton of jokes and tongue in cheek humor, from what friends have been telling me over the years it seems like they actually try to write serious lore…it’s just all bloody awful and hilariously bad.
“Wait, Falsted Wildhammer is dead?” : P
Greaterdivinity I pretty much look at WoW lore as meant to be a joke at least it’s always come off rather tongue and cheek. Too bad because I am a lore centric person and Blizzard never took it serious. Did they?
TomTurtle I forgot to mention the Grizzly hills song in my other comment. I love that song too, and would purposely go through Grizzly hills just to hear it. Something soothing about it. Nice choice to open up with!
Thanks for answering my questions guys! Your responses gave me some perspective, especially the idea that I may be taking people too literally and a lot of it is hyperbole in the hopes devs will put more stock into the feedback.
Wading into a Smart fueled SC comment section is really intense tho, I can’t imagine being that emotionally invested in a product that doesn’t really exist yet, on either side of the “debate”.
Bree, I appreciate your dislike of Warcraft/WoW lore. What little I’ve seen/continue to see still causes me pain with how awful it is.
Also, glad to hear the site is doing well now : )
