The Secret World Issue 12 is coming next week

51

The final update of The Secret World’s Tokyo expansion is almost upon us, as Funcom announced today that Issue 12 will be coming to the live servers next week.

Issue 12 won’t contain a new batch of story missions, but it will have some new group content and quality-of-life improvements to compensate. The centerpiece of the issue is the new Manufactory dungeon underneath the Orochi Tower for small teams and two new raids — Eidolon of the Outer Dark and Bird of the Zero Point Pathogen — that offer tons of rewards.

Also included in the update is a new daily challenge system, a revamp of the token system, the ability to upgrade epic gear to QL 10.7, new word bosses, and an improved social window with better LFG functionality.

crawlkill IDK, pvp was a stupidly easy way to gear up. 10.4 on both dps, tank, & healing gear, with all weapons upgraded. Grindy as heck but that’s everything in this game, way more entertaining fighting the Lizards & Tampons VS running NYC over and over. It got me to Panopticon as a side bonus.

Koshelkin Syco_at_Twitch deekay_zero EmrysAmbrose Armsbend Polyanna That and from a business standpoint their library isn’t even  impressive on the  standpoint why would any one merge unless they are  at same lvl or worse then Funcom and even then that won’t really help. They have until December of next year apparently on their debt.  I really only see locust companys aquiring them  Like  PWE *cringes*

SomewhatEclectic Armsbend Zo5o The raid isn’t locked either, only the dungeons are really from the bought part.

Koshelkin Flappy is new, since the old one was built for 40 random persons and not an organized raid of 10. Eidolon indeed is just getting the lair requirement removed and rewards revamped but the raid itself is what it’s always been.

shadowblender sfrees80 Their shop has nothing worth buying or even good outfits. theres no real incentive to use it minus dlc  that’s their problem they don’t know the formula to make  cash shop attractive

crawlkill Not to nitpick but i think you used  the phrase or word” Parent company” wrong as Funcom is not the parent company it is the developer , parent company usually refers to publishers and devs meaning  for example NCsoft is Arenanets parent company. i could be wrong tho

Syco_at_Twitch sfrees80 No, not those issues.  I was referring to the botting and exploiting that were rampant at launch

sfrees80 Someone interested in MMORPGs? The mmorpg is not much of a cashgrab these days, and today is all about cashgrabs.

Heck, even the giant WoW lost almost half subs in a few months.

TSW finally implements non-hardcore ways to get endgame gear! …as their parent company crashes and burns. sigh. I love the game as much as ever, but I worry that any time invested in it will blip away too, too soon.

They do get a lot done for their size. Past few months have been content of some sort every 2 month, which is awesome ^^
