WildStar gives free store currency to patch testers

26

Right now WildStar’s free-to-play update is deep into closed beta testing, with one of the hottest new features being the game’s upcoming cash shop. To get players to fiddle around with the store, Carbine is giving away free currency for the purposes of testing only.

According to an explanation on the forums, the patch will be tested in two phases. In the current phase, the studio is giving WildStar testers a bundle of store currency every week with the expectation that all currency and purchases will be wiped. In the second phase, players will only be able to obtain test currency by purchasing the real equivilent. So if a player buys 400 coins to use when F2P hits, he or she will get a matching 400 coins of test-only currency to use in the patch beta.

Carbine declined to reveal when the second phase of the closed beta is scheduled. To participate in the patch closed beta, you will need to be an active WildStar subscriber.

Iranian Rials will soon become the hottest best-selling currency of year 2015 and likely to be for many years to come. Iranian Rial exchange rate was 1750 IRR to one

USD in year 2001. It is now about 2980 Iranian Rials to one USD. USA Sanctions / Embargo against Iran will be lifted soon. Many countries have abolished the embargo

which gives you a hint of the volume of Iran economy. So much expectations that Iranian Rial value will raise due to the lift of sanctions and the great potentiality

of the Iranian economy.

Iran Rial has become the currency of year 2015 as sanctions are be lifted and there is adoption date on October 18th where lifting sanctions against Iran is to be decided. Iranian Rial was 1750 IRR against one USD now it is 29500 IRR against one USD. How much Iranian Rials will be after lifting sanctions? Will it revalue. Many people are buying Iran Rial worldwide.

ColdinT Randeth Yeah, I saw some later comments that they are sending out some invite keys to non-subscribers. Which I think is great. The more folks that see the upcoming changes the better. But they aren’t opening it up to all non-subscribers until Phase 2. Or at least that’s how I understand it.

Randeth Pretty sure they’re letting in non subscribers before the second phase.

This is way more confusing than it sounds. All they did was give each account some of the cash shop currency to play around with. We don’t get to keep it. But apparently they aren’t giving folks any cash shop coins to play with in the second phase, which is when they let in non-subscribers. If they want to try out the Store they need to buy some NCoins now for use after the F2P transition.

Which is sort of a shame because it’s actually a very good F2P implementation. I’ve been pleased with what I’ve seen so far. What they REALLY should be doing is giving folks an eventual Bonus to any NCoins they buy to test out the Beta Cash Shop.

” for the purposes of testing only.”
okay gonna wait for the actual release then. But I´m pretty hyped, this game is good. Only kept a one month sub though.

deekay_zero Koshelkin If it’s all cosmetic stuff it’s ok, a bit underhanded to hide the good stuff in lockboxes, though. I guess I won’t invest much in that regard.

deekay_zero flatline4400 They did, actually. It was during either the second BWE or one of the closed beta events earlier. They gave away some 1200 gems to players so we could test the “transaction” functionality of redeeming something from the store. Can’t remember if they ever tested the payment backend; part of my brain says they did, but the other side remembers that the store was really wonky at launch and I can’t recall if that was due to it not being tested or if it was because the system was just too strained.
