Trion Worlds buys gaming mouse for injured Trove player

When an MMO gamer named Ziedus cut his left hand at work and had to have surgery to repair it, he announced that he would have to give up playing his new favorite MMO, Trove, in addition to losing his job and handling a baby on the way.

Trion Worlds apparently saw his post and prepared a little surprise gift to help get Ziedus back into the game. The studio sent a get-well card from the devs with in-game codes and an Amazon gift voucher so that Ziedus could buy a G600 gaming mouse and play Trove one-handed.

“I still can’t believe this and I am still speechless,” he posted. “They have helped me in a bigger way than anyone could have. […] I want to say thank you to the Trove team, you have no idea how much you have helped me.”

dorn2 I have three kids and one on the way, write for Massively and still play games. All about wise time management and priorities.

Good on Trion. The G600 is the greatest Mouse in the history of life in the universe.

dorn2  I found I had time to play games after my kids were born since I was around the house a lot by necessity.  I didn’t get to hike as much after that though, and don’t even bring up scuba diving.

More of this and less of that other stuff, Trion.

I feel bad for this guy but it’s amusing that he thinks he will get to play games after the baby arrives.

zoward paragonlostinspace Greaterdivinity Siphaed  I use my mouse right handed too. Was far to much of a pain in the backside to try to swap it all the time when at work they didn’t have it set up for a leftie. I just use the mouse like we’d use a glove, its the off hand item! :)

Good going Trion……gonna take a whole lotta mices to work off that post AA customer respect debt though, but this is a start.

G600 is an awesome mouse for those of us with larger hands too.  I found the Razer Naga to be on the small side and I stick it in my backpack for when I have to due a bit of work with a laptop at a random location – laptop touchpads located beneath a keyboard is a design of the ergonomic devil !!!

Silverbourne JohnD212  Sure, but I’m sure the company appreciates the great PR, and the dev team responsible gets brownie points from the company for having done it.  Cynics may scoff, but I’ve seen it at my company (I do an annual food drive at my work that generates them some local PR).
