Cloud Imperium comments on IllFonic’s Star Citizen involvement

136

Yesterday IllFonic confirmed that it had laid off six staff members from its Denver-based studio that is working on both Revival and the FPS module for Star Citizen. Today Cloud Imperium has provided more clarity on the issue via a statement to GamesIndustry.biz.

In a nutshell, IllFonic was brought on board to assist in the early days of the module’s development due to the studio’s previous experience with the underlying CryEngine. Now that CIG has grown and is handling much of Star Marine’s development in its Frankfurt and Manchester offices, IllFonic’s services are no longer required.

You are devoid of any merit, look at you’re games, any or all of them, they are all incomplete and bug-ridden piles of crap! You have been developing them for how long now ?

You can’t even develop a good game if your life depended on it, yet you ridicule others developers in your private blogs. You ban anyone who retorts anything you state. You’re use of  “anonymous source”  is your favorite go to as a reliable source.

Star Citizen has more content than every game you developed combined and at a higher rez and quality! Load up the game and you will see, damn I forgot you can’t because they banned you! Good riddance troll !

BTW: I really enjoyed the video you made about Star Citizen and yourself:

But in case of an earthquake it’s San Andreas’ fault.

So, anybody who said that Storybrix being kicked off the EQN island meant the game was being shelved, despite EXACTLY the same explanation from Daybreak, don’t be a hypocrite when you talk about this…

Cujo H the fact that Chris Roberts said in October of 2012 that they’d been working on it for about a year.

Ggamer Geoff Dassad I usually don’t respond to nonsensical bullshit, but since I’m in between compiles, here goes.

1. In case you haven’t been paying attention a LOT that has come from other articles, RSI etc, are a result of my blog raising questions. Prior to my blogs, NONE of that was happening.  And if you don’t know what “sarcasm” is, then that’s on you.

Aside from that, I have an entire list of things I’ve uncovered, posted about, and which were proven to be true, starting from the departure of key members, feature/scope creep, cut features, funding, layoffs, sandra roberts (nee sandi gardiner) lying about her credentials etc.

And there is so much more to come, that even the Kotaku article, pales in comparison to what other media outlets are currently researching and about to write about.

2. That’s because I opted to so something even better with the money; and which would lead to having questions answers, since taking out full-page ads won’t force them to do anything. You will read about this in the next few days.

3. Which has nothing to do with Star Citizen. And I already wrote a lengthy missive about that and proven (even with their own German players) that was they did was pure bullshit

Unlike you White Knights who just use personal attacks since you have nothing else to use, I tend to get results.

dsmart3000ad Geoff Dassad Your ‘sources’ …. how many times have we heard that. I’m still curious about:
1)You stated your article would ‘burn everything down’ I’m guessing this is the usual Smart hyperbole as I saw no burning.
2)Something about a full page article/advert being taken out in a well known publication – I’m not seeing anything.
3)Something about an article refuting the german gaming publications review/preview of LoD, you know where they simply did what you’ve done with SC albeit with actual evidence such as video.
The recent events in the LoD forums on steam were most amusing and showed how much of a 2 faced buffoon you are when it comes to people commenting on your bugfest games. You love to give criticism out but can’t take it.

Geoff Dassad Sadly, it’s not as straightforward as that. My sources tell me that there is still quite a bit of work still to be done; but it’s not going to be done by Illfonic.

While I don’t believe that they are going to throw Illfonic under the bus, whatever happens in the coming weeks, is going to amount to that, depending on public opinion of whatever is released end of Oct for the SM module – or if it’s delayed again; as I fully expect that it will be.
